Review: I had all kinds of problems with the sound blaster live 5.1. Got this Philips card and all my problems were fixed!! I had an ASUS mobo and I believe that sound blaster has issues with them!

Review: I purchased this sound card while still using Windows 98. I wanted a basic audio card for music and DVD, no gaming or anything fancy and definitely nothing expensive. The price was good and in 98 it wasn't too bad of a card but I wouldn't buy it again. Installing was challenging enough in 98 but impossible in XP as none of the drivers are approved by XP. Now, in XP I am receiving gurgling noises and am planning on buying something else. So much for trying to save money!
