Summary: Good webcam for the money
Review: 1. The Linux kernel does not support it. There is a project for it, but the driver is too raw.
2. It works easy and smooth with Windows 2000 (onlt what I've tested)
3. The quality is ok (for the money).

Summary: No linux support
Review: I would have liked to try this product although I had to take it back and get a Phillips webcam because there was no support for running this product on Linux and I refuse to run Micro$oft products on my computers.

Creative support through their website was also of no use in trying to get this running in linux. They simply do not care about non Windows users.

Summary: Good Camera For The Money
Review: If you really just want a cam to pay around with a bit now and then this is a great affordable little camera. I have net friends who liked my camera so much they went out and bought the same one. It does a good job for the money! I know several others who have bought realitively unexpensive webcams and did not get as good a performance. I've recieved a lot of compliments on this webcam.

Summary: [inexpensive] and easy
Review: it's easy to install, it's [inexpensive], and it does the trick. if you want to show someone somebody and not want to spent too much money this is it. the only downside is that the focus is not all that impressive.

Summary: camera sucks
Review: this camera sucks bigtime! i bought it and had a tough time installing it on my laptop (winXP).. the customer support is bad... the software has major problems...

after installation it did not quite work.. the power would go off after a few seconds.. overall a big failure... probably the worst product ever from creative!

Summary: A good simple webcam for beginners
Review: This isn't the best webcam in the world, but you knew that from the price, right? This cam has an updated driver on the Creative Labs website. It's possible that if you are using Windows XP, the original cam drivers are on your cam's installation CD-ROM instead of the updated drivers. The original cam drivers are "unsigned" but they work. After you get your cam up and running, download the new cam driver from Creative...it makes this cam's imaging even better. This is a great value...my only major issue is that it didn't come with a lens cap. The cam images aren't the very best, but I would rate it as "good enough." The settings on the cam are easy for a beginner...plus it works right after an easy set up. This is a great cam for Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, etc.

Summary: Poor image quality
Review: This webcam by Creative Labs is not too good. The image quality is poor even by webcam standard, and it does *not* have auto focus, which means you have to adjust the focus ring each time you move. Unlike Logitech's ClickSmart, you cannot use this one as a take-along digital camera. And even Ezonics makes cheaper and better-quality webcams than this.

Summary: Cheap... but... cheap.
Review: This webcam is pretty inexpensive, but the quality is very bad. The image is extremely noisy, and that affects very badly the ability of the codecs to encode the video efficiently. In other words, If you can't afford to get a slightly better camera, I guess it's ok. If you can, buy something a more expensive.
