Review: I bought the srf-h11 to replace the sfr-h5 ( which broke due to loose set screw). I used to have a sfr-hmoV( digital model) but did not like all the static and poor reception so I took it back
I use it when hiking and found the FM reception to be fantastic at elevation, sound is clear and unit it reasonably comfortable to wear. ( though I take it off during commercials to give my ears a rest). AM performance is very good.
The mega bass is about the best I have heard from a sony product.
If you climb mountains and like to have music to take along I recommend this unit.

Summary: Tough little sucker
Review: I have had these headphones for about 6 months now. I use them every single day while running/walking on the treadmill and weight lifting. The sound quality is excellent, especially with mega bass on. I didn't expect the little speakers to deliver wonderful sound but I have been very pleasantly surprised. The controls can all be adjusted while on your ears after you practice finding the buttons. AM/FM reception is pretty good, not perfect but good. It has a weather tuner and the best part: a TV tuner. You can tune into a local tv program. While I'm at the gym this is magnificent. There are always several TV's showing different things and I can never hear what I want. With these babies on, I can follow the storyline! The street style headphones stay on your head even while running and aren't uncomfortable behind the ears. I'm a sweathog so the water-resistance is great! I highly recommend this little entertainer.

Summary: For their function, they work great.
Review: I will first start off by saying that yes, indeed they are a tad bigger then normal behind the ear headphones but they have a radio in them so cut the design some slack. They aren't that heavy unless they are used for a prolonged period of time, 2 or 3 hours is about when the headphones start to feel heavy. If you are worried about them looking goofy then you need to do two things. 1) Realize that they are for sporting, bike riding, running, hiking etc. 2) Don't be so full of yourself that a little added width is going to throw off your perfectly balanced figure. All in all, these headphones are perfect for their function and price.

Summary: Not as it appears
Review: The Sony SRF-H11 headset radio has better than average reception (though I notice a very slight hiss even on local stations) and excellent sound. The big, and I mean big, problem with the headset is that it's, well, BIG. Sony does a nice job of always showing images of the radio from the side, or - when on a model - from the side of the model's head. This leads you think that the radio looks like their standard "sony-style" headphones. Great, I thought, I can listen to the radio without cords, or a radio strapped to my arm/waist/bike. Which is true, except that I look like Woody Allen in Sleeper. The radio sticks out approx 1 1/2" from your head. To give you a visual of what that looks like, it sticks out about 1/2" farther than my bike helmut (which is about 10 years old). Sorta like having a couple of extra large grade A eggs stuck to the side of your head. If you think form the picture no one will notice it's a radio, think again. The radio is very light, except that after 30 minutes of hanging from your ears, you'd think it weighs about 5 pounds.

Summary: OK, but uncomfortable
Review: This works fine, but I wish I had tried it out in person before (or instead of) buying it:

- the way it rides on the ears is uncomfortable

- the neck strap rubs against my collar, so if I turn my head, it pushes the thing, rubbing more against my ears

- the way it sticks out on either side is a bit goofy looking.

Summary: A non-perfectionist LOVES IT!
Review: Yes the product has a need for an antenna inside the house in rural areas... somewhat directional at night. But outside, which is where I wanted to use it, it is fantastic!

Nothing like a mega-bass Deep Purple or a crisp Well Tempered Clavier prelude and fugue!

For the bucks it is well worth the pennies.
