Summary: not too bad..
Review: i got the DSC-350 for my birthday recently. i was a leeeetle dissapointed at first, but then you really shouldn't expect much from a low-end camera costing only a coupla hundred dollars. it doesn't have a flash (a feature which i think is really crucial when it comes to digicams) so the pictures come out grainy when you're using the cam indoors, or when there's little light. when there *is* enough light though, picture quality is pretty decent.

the webcam feature is great. the picture quality is excellent. in fact, i almost never refer to the DSC-350 as a digital camera, but a webcam as the webcam's picture quality surpasses that of the still digital camera function. i've seen a lot of pictures from other webcams around the internet, and the thing most have in common is picture coming out grainy. this is what's fortunately missing from the DSC-350-- the grain. pictures from the webcam function come out as clear as day (well, provided you have a good light source. i keep a lamp next to the computer when i use the webcam feature). the only drawback to the whole webcam thing, though, is that i had to look around the internet for a driver since the one that came with the camera didn't work on my PC.

maximum pixel size-- 1024x768-- is just right-- for amateurs like me. if you're looking to use this camera for personal purposes (i.e., a webcam on your homepage, pictures with your friends), it suits the job just fine. however, this cam is not for those looking to use this for professional purposes. for that, you shouldn't even be looking at this camera.

Summary: Price refects quality.
Review: I had great hopes for this camera, but none where fulfilled, except for the great price. I got this camera and immediately began to use it. It holds an incredible amount of pictures, but the problem is with the quality of the pictures. The quality is terrible. I took over 100 pictures with this camera at all resolutions and the pictures were incredibly blurry. Only about 10, out of the 100 plus pictures, were ok quality (not very good quality at that). It takes forever for this camera to be ready to even take the pictures and it is temperamental about taking pictures after that. The camera took picture very sporadically. The web cam feature is bad as well. It came in very choppy. ...

Summary: Not the Best out there but it gets the Job Done
Review: I have had this for about 2 weeks now and can't complain. I mean it has it's downsides, but I don't need to take pictures to print out or any close ups of flowers or anything like that. I use it on trips, I take pictures of my friends and family and come home to keep those pictures on my computer. And everyonce and a while i will use the camera for a netmeeting chat with a friend.

It works and it is not [price] or more. And it doubles as a Webcam. It doesn't get much more convienent.

Summary: d-link digital camera
Review: I ordered this camera last October. I tried to load the driver on my PC, and it just wouldn't set up right. I don't know if others had this problem or not...apparently not the other people who reviewed this camera. At first I thought it was a problem with the camera, so I sent the first one back, and got another, but I still couldn't get the driver to load.

Summary: not as good as i thought
Review: im the same kid that reviewed this camera before. the shutter stays open way too long. Most of my pictures were blurry. the video started messing up after awhile, too. i wouldn't recomend this camera. I sent mine back and am now buying an Olympus D460. sorry if you bought this camera because of my previous review.

Summary: small, cool cam!
Review: The dcs-350 is a cool digital camera. It is a still camera, video camera, and web camera. Its about 3x2x1. It can hold (on its lowest resolution) 500 still images or about 4.5 minutes of video. I cant really say anything about the web cam because I havent used it yet. It has an LCD display on top but it doesnt have a little video screen in the back. It comes with a wrist strap, a stand, Photosuite III SE, Videowave III SE, a soft case, and a standard USB cord. I think its one cool cam.

Summary: Not Fully Functional
Review: The DSC-350 took great still shots despite the fact that it needed a lot of light. Unfortunately, when I tried to set it up as a webcam I encountered a lot of problems with the driver installation. The driver that comes with the cam does not work in WinME; and the driver available for download at the D-Link website is no better (in fact, it's the same driver). The available patch did not help, either. D-Link tech support could offer no answers.

Summary: Good value for money and acceptable quality
Review: The main drawbacks of this camera are:
1) only 700,000 pixel resolution
2) manual focus
3) no flash
4) no LCD screen
for 1), well, if you want more you'll have to pay commensurately more for it... but the quality at this resolution is absolutely fine for the computer. In fact, much more and it's a pain to e-mail as the file size gets too big. It has great focus (I took a photo of my pet rat about 1 inch from her face and it came out great), and you can recognise the people in the photos - what more do you want from a fun snappy camera?
2) manual focus is not a big deal, it has guidelines for distance on the lens when you turn it so as long as you can judge the difference between 0.5m and 1.5m it's easy. The software can sharpen up unfocussed pictures pretty well too.
3) no flash is not so great, but at least the batteries last longer.
4) People think it's terrible not having an LCD screen, but it's no different from an ordinary camera! You really need a screen when there is no memory so you can clear out the bad photos and not waste what limited space you have. This camera has a whopping 8mB of memory which means it can store 145-200 pictures so you can snap away and dump whatever you don't want when you download it onto the PC

Overall I found it fun, easy to use, easy to download the pictures once you get used to it and very fun to manipulate them and change the colours. All my friends have new portraits now! I will be buying one for my sister and also my parents for Christmas...

Summary: GREAT
Review: This camera was really good. First of all the price of this was UNBELIEVABLE. IT WAS A BARGAIN. You can even video record with this camera. Also it is very easy to use all you have to do is plug the wires in and run the program they give you. BEST THING OUT THERE. U SHOULD GET IT!!!
