Description:

The TLP-S30U from Toshiba is an affordable LCD projector designed for the mobile presenter. A snap to set up, this compact and sleek unit operates from a distance of 1.3 to 11 meters with an adjustable projection screen size of 29.3 to 300 inches (diagonal). A native SVGA 800 x 600 resolution combines with a digital zoom of up to 10x to ensure that projected images retain their clarity even at great distances, while support for over 16.7 million colors results in an accurate, true-to-life picture.

The TLP-S30U's small 10.9-by-7.8-inch footprint lets you set up on just about any convenient surface, while its meager 4.8-pound weight makes transportation painless. A 400:1 contrast ratio results in a clear projected image, while 1,400 ANSI lumens of brightness ensures that projections are easy to see from anywhere in the room. The manual zoom/manual focus lens has an F number (aperture) range of 1.9 to 2.2 and an f number (focal length) range of 27 to 32 mm, which combine with digital keystone correction of +/- 15 degrees, allowing you to maintain a squared-off and in-focus projection across the entirety of the image.

The TLP-S30U supports NTSC, PAL, SECAM, HDTV/DTV, VGA, SVGA, XGA, and SXGA formats via its S-Video, RCA, RGB, and mini D-sub inputs, while a RS232C port is provided for the control input. The internal fan emits less than 38 dB of noise during normal operation, while the internal 1-Watt speakers provide a stand-alone audio output. The TLP-S30U also comes backed with a two year limited warranty.
