Description:

Microtek's legal-size ScanMaker i700 offers a 9,600 x 4,800 dpi optical resolution for poster-sized images, 48-bit color depth, a variety of professional image scanning features, and the versatility of connecting via USB 2.0 or Firewire for ultra-fast scans. Other features include an 8.5-by-14-inch scan bed, a staggered tri-linear CCD array, built-in 4-by-9-inch transparency adapter with specially constructed EZ-Lock film holders, and seven Smart-Touch buttons for automating tasks.

Fully loaded with Microtek's exclusive PictuRescue photo reconstruction and restoration solution featuring built-in Digital ICE technology, the ScanMaker i700 can automatically remove rips, cracks, and wrinkles from photo prints, as well as eliminate dust and scratches from slides and filmstrips. The scanner serves up different levels of ICE strength, such as Normal and Strong, to repair photos according to degree of damage. With the Manual Photo Reconstruction feature, you can create custom defect maps to identify and repair damage. The ColorRescue feature can instantly restore faded or washed-out photos.

The included ScanWizard software automatically detects film quantity and format when using the EZ-Lock Film Holders. It also automatically crops the frames for you, making film scanning easier than ever. The EZ-lock holders provide easy film handling for 35mm slides and filmstrips, 4-by-5-inch film, and 120mm film; and the holders lock into place on the scan bed to ensure perfect alignment and consistent scans.

The seven automated buttons on the front of the ScanMaker let you scan images and then email them, upload them to a photo-sharing site, or send them directly to an application of your choice. The buttons can be customized quickly to fit your needs and applications. The scanner connects to PCs and Macs via FireWire and USB 2.0. A separate 15-pin port support optional add-on accessories.
