Review: Can you really tell the difference between a 550 and 733 if you're a just a regular consumer browsing the net? I think not. What if you're a computer geek that spends 12+ hours a day in front of the computer? YES! I am a member of the first group of users. My roommate has the fastest CD-R available, and he paid for it. I have seen him burn CD after CD. Most of the time he never uses them again. I have the I/O Magic 16X10X40 Internal CD-RW Drive! It's perfect. Right in my price range, fast enough for my needs. I burn Music, pics, last semester's docs... and more. No data gaps or skipping. And the software is easy to use. Don't forget to add the CD labeler to your cart. I didn't the first time and I ended up having to come back later to get. In the mean time all my CD's got disorganized. Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP is the most affordable and pretty much works best. If you don't have XP Easy CD Creator 5.0 Platinum is the bomb!
 Happy Burning!

Review: I got one of these a couple of months ago and it's working well. This replaced an old 2x drive, also sold by I/OMagic.
I/OMagic repackages a number of brands in its boxes, but they're all from pretty reputable OEM outfits like BTC and Lite-On. Both my new one and the old one are BTC. It installed easily, runs quietly, and makes good discs. Mine came with Nero Burning Rom software, which works very well but took a little learning to use. Tech support from I/OMagic could be a little more responsive, but if you know what you are doing this is probably a very good buy.
