Summary: Awful customer service
Review: After reading the other two reviews I realized that there was not much more to say because I had the EXACT same experience!! This company has absolutely no regard for the customer. If you're looking for a good drive, I would look elsewhere. (I wish I did.)

Review: DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!!
I bought it and it worked great for about 9 months, just like these other people who reviewed it, and then it just stopped working. It turned on and accepted a CD but my computer could not even read it, and the problem was NOT my computer, (i checked). they said the back board on the machine was probably shot. i wrote the company and the customer service was a joke and in the end they told me it would cost $180 to fix it. THATS... MORE THAN ITS WORTH! i would recomend the company LaCie, or Yamaha. but please do not make the mistake I made, by buying QPS!
***please take this seriously***

Review: I loved my burner. Until it died on me and QPS started giving me the runaround. Its been over a month since I initially contacted QPS. There is clearly a hardware error, but QPS insists (when I can get in touch with them) that I need to upgrade my operating system, my firewire enabling software, and my CD creation software. After getting my point across that I've been using the burner for 9 months with the same set up, they ask for "information" that is listed on tehir web site before they will allow a return. I gave them the information and never heard back from them. 16 e-mails later, I get a response that says I need to furnish all of teh information requested, and that what I gave them was deficient. But they fail to tell me WHAT information is lacking. I cut and pasted teh info they request on their web site into an e-mail and re-answer the questions. That was three days ago. I doubt they will honor their warranty obligation, and suspect that this runaround is a method of lowering warranty claims.

Good product when it worked (9 months), but pray it doesn't have any problems.

Summary: If anything goes wrong, you're on your own
Review: I purchased one of these drives and it performed acceptably (not spectacularly) for about eight months. Then it abruptly died. After determining that it was a hardware problem, I followed instructions that came with the burner to contact the company for information on how to return it for repair or replacement under the warranty. I have sent numerous email messages to the customer "service" department, with no reply. The form on the QPS web page for submitting requests for customer service doesn't work (!). I called the QPS customer service department during business hours, waited on hold for about an hour and a half, and then was abruptly disconnected without being able to speak to anyone. I've even sent fax messages. No reply AT ALL from the company! I would never have purchased this burner if I had known that QPS had such poor regard for its customers. I STRONGLY recommend avoiding QPS and its products if you have alternatives. Don't make the same mistake I did!

Review: like everytone it seems who purchased one of there burners, min e lasted just about a year and died. The company was very good about replacing it, it only took about a week. The trouble was, that one only lasted another 4 months, then died.
I only wish there were stars to take away
