Summary: A most horrible game
Review: This game is pieced together from digital photos taken on the island of Capri. The island is a beautiful place and perhaps it is worth the price simply to wander its roads and trails in this photo format. However, after you have walked everywhere and picked up all the obvious 'clues' you honestly do not have a clue what you are suppose to be doing! I must admit that I did not solve anything that I would consider a puzzle before I quit playing out of boredom.

Summary: pros and cons of Capri
Review: This game offers many strenghts but it does have few weaknesses. My final verdict is positive because I like new things. Someone else said: "Think of it as taking a vacation rather than playing an adventure game - an escape from your usual gaming trips". This description fits very well the game .

Cons:
- limited interaction with characters
- the beginning is quite confusing
- the interface is simple

Pro:
- very easy to use
- the storyline gets more and more interesting toward the end
- freedom to explore every single spot of the island
- the game runs well and has low system requirements

Summary: A nice try but nonetheless, pathetically boring.
Review: This game was independently produced by two gentlemen. Not to say this game is absolutely horrible but believe me, its close to it. The story is vague, the photos are average, the music is ok, the interface is horrible, and the gameplay is confusing and boring... To think that anyone could even begin to compare this to Myst is a laughing joke. I urge you not to spend your money on a waste of a game like this. If you're into these kind of adventure games, take a look at what the adventure company is currently making or other well-known publishers. Don't be mislead by the other reviews here that describe this game as something its not. Trust me, you will not have fun playing this game. Adventure games are my favorite genre and I must say, this ranks pretty low on my list. If you still have doubts about what I have just written, check IGN or Gamespot for their reviews. As you will see, the game gets something like 4.0 out of 10. If you're into essentially just clicking randomly in what seems that a powerpoint slideshow, then go for it, otherwise don't buy this pathetic excuse for a game

Summary: Excellent Game
Review: This is an excellent game. It has beautiful scenery and I enjoyed the actual people being woven into the fun, non-violent story line. Another interesting concept of this game is their use of the map to maneuver through the areas. I do wish there were more games like this that gives a tour of the area--this type of game is quite educational.

One suggestion I would make is that in future games the maps be a bit clearer. I found that I had to really get up close to the monitor in order to see the route names as the font was not that clear.

I do hope the sequel to this game comes along very soon!

Summary: a quiet weekend in capri
Review: This is the worst game I have come across in a long time. it is hard to understand the accent and there is no way of knowing what you have to do except to talk to people with these accents. If you buy it you will not even try to play it to it's fullest as it is a dud. stay away from it

Summary: Tedious . . .
Review: To put together this game, the developers took a lot of digital photos of Capri. A lot of them. And it took a lot of their time and effort, and so they want to make sure you see them. Every last one. Over and over and over again. The interface is primitive, and in very many scenes, there is just one direction you can go. To get from one point to another takes enough clicking to give you carpal tunnel, and has the net effect of paging through a tourist brochure for Capri -- for hours. Thankfully, after a period of game play, you are provided with several jump points to shorten your journeys.

The developers were very proud of their music, which is bland. They include an extra CD of the music for their game. There is a button you can press to turn off the music . . . but the music will start back up simultaneously.

The game is non-linear, but much of it involves running to and fro. Many puzzles are simply carrying objects from point A to point B. The entire thing is so tedious that after a few days of play, I uninstalled it.

Summary: Mind stimulating
Review: Very addicting! It is hard to solve at many parts. But overall the game is fun, challenging, and designed to make the gamers flex his/her brain power. One of my favorite games. Just do not expect amazing 3D graphics. 20 bucks are well worth it.

Summary: A new kind of game
Review: Weekend in Capri uses pictures instead of rendered graphics. To my knowledge this is the first example of adventure game made with real pictures. I thought this was a great idea and that's why I bought Capri. At the very beginning I just started wandering around. The place and the pictures were so gorgeous, the natural sounds so immersive that I felt like exploring a new world. After a while I made up my mind. I am playing this game to solve a mystery! And slowly I started figuring out what was the game about: try to find your way back to your original world. It took me a while, but once I got into it, I found the storyline really intriguing and entertaining. Overall I had a lot of fun with this game. Highly recommended.
