Summary: WOW!! SUPER NICE!! BUY THEM NOW!!
Review: AWesome speakers, just got them for only 60 BUCKS FOR THE PAIR!!! NEW!!!! Awesome deal. These things sound like way more expensive speakers!!! EVen speakers ranging over $1000!! The bass is great for the small size, and the treble is nice and clear. I even tested em with some death metal and blasted it, and they sounded awesome! I use these for my main speakers.I am getting some for surround now! You should pick these up, you can find em cheap!!! Great quality for the $$$$$$...

Review: Helllo All......

First I must have to say I have put these little speakers through many tests with different amps, speaker placement. ect., ect.
No high tech gear as you will find in Hi-Fi Magazine or similar publications......Just me and my fairly well trained ear.

My observations:
1-placement is crurical for theses little bombs.
2-the low end on these are big time,,,,(compare to 8 in. woffer and you won't see much difference,,,,,,(depnding on how far you have them from side and back walls) no matter though, if your into anything "heavy" or bass heavy they will DELIVER.
3-midrange is smooth and natural in all tests.
4-treble is great at a high level
5-treble and imaging suffer at a low power treshhold (low volume) these speakers love to be pushed and only faltered on my my low end Teac 50 wpc sysystem, on the Yamahaha 110 wpc, not a a clue of distortion or coloration, unless pushed behond thier means (they are a bookshelf speaker you know)
6-This one is kind of hit and miss-Imaginging, seems to do better pulled from the wall about a foot and and half (bass still good at that distanace)
7- to sum it up these speskers run good with anty kind of power but really shine with a good amp (reciever).
8- great Bass, great midrange and great treble (imaging) if you have the power turned up........value wise....a 10!
9-to sum it up these are great speakers with clean power turned up a bit, pretty good speakers for all other applications, espeacially consinsidering thier low price.
10-large room, small room does'nt matter, these things will blow anything Infinity or Polk has to offer for the same price!

Last but not least, I don't work for them and am just doing this as a heads up for antbody wanting a cheap set of sppeakers that deliver.

Note: as I said before, these speakers need to be turned up to get theire full potential!!

Have Fun, Mark

Summary: Pinch Me! Am I Dreaming?
Review: How the heck did they get so much power packed into these little guys? This is the first time I've purchased Wharfedale speakers, and from now on they are going to be the only speakers I buy! The sound is crisp, you can crank these puppies without hardley any distortion, and for the price, you just can't go wrong! Thank You Wharfedale, for such a fine product!!!!

Summary: great value
Review: I bought these off the website, more or less without much information other than the editorial and customer reviews, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have had the same Genesis 15-inch speakers since college (which is some time ago!) and while I am no audiophile, wanted something that would sound good for classical and jazz, as well as some pop/rock.

When I installed these on the bookshelf in the same location as my old speakers had occupied, I was really disappointed. The bass was too heavy, the mid-range muddy...

The next night, however, I rearranged some things, took the speakers off the shelf, and used some surfaces that were about the same level as my listening height, in the approximate configuration shown in the instructions. All I can say is--what a difference!! They sound terrific now--clear, nice timbre, good bass AND mid-range, as well as rich-sounding treble.

My conclusion is that the placement in your room will really affect the sound on these speakers, so experiment a bit. I am very pleased with them now, and think they are a great value.

Review: I came back to order another pair, but was disappointed to learn the item was discontinued. You can't beat these speakers for 100 clams.

Summary: Such a DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I can't tell you how happy I am with the speakers. I just recieved them and connected them to my stereo, what great sound. The price does not match the quality of these speakers. If anyone is looking for a great pair of speakers that will give a wide range of sound and will fit almost anywhere, look no further these are them. The best part is that they are less than $100. It doesn't get any better than this.

Summary: GREAT DEAL AND PERFORMER!
Review: I JUST BOUGHT A PAIR OF THESE SPEAKERS AND WAS I SURPRISED. THEY ARE GREAT. A REAL DEAL FOR THE PRICE THEY ARE ASKING FOR THEM. IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS, FORGET THEM. THESE SPEAKERS WILL GIVE YOU AN EARFULL AND OUTPERFORM SOME OF THE BIGGER MODELS. I USE MINE TO ENHANCE THE WEAK STERIO SPEAKERS FOR MY TV. IT IS AMAZING WHAT YOU MISS UNLESS YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SPEAKERS TO DO THE JOB. THESE ARE THE RIGHT SPEAKERS AND MORE.

Summary: These speakers are a great deal
Review: I ordered these speakers as a more compact replacement for a pair of older, mediocre quality, three way speakers with 8" woofers that I had in my computer room. I wasn't really sure what to expect from such small and inexpensive speakers. When they arrived I put one of the old and one of the new speakers side-by-side, and switched between them. I was surprised by how similar the two speakers sounded; this was no doubt partly coincidence, as two speakers of very different design will normally have noticeable differences in they way they sound even if the overall sound quality is similar. I then installed the new speakers, and as a pair they sound better than the old speakers did. Some of this may be because the layout of the room forces me to put the speakers too close together, and this may degrade the sound of the smaller speakers less. But the pair also just sound good together. In any event, these speakers sound about as good as they reasonably can given the size and acoustics of the room. I'm sure pedantic audiophiles can find things to object to in these speakers, but if you have a small, acoustically-challenged room, or simply limited space or budget, these speakers are a great deal.

Summary: Totally sweet speakers BUT...
Review: I purchased these speakers about 8 months ago and have absolutely loved them -- there's no way that you can spend so little and get such great speakers. I have two in my front and two in the back for surround sound, and a Wharfdale center channel also. However, I'd definitely recommend getting a powered subwoofer to work with these as the bass is a little shallow. Bottom line, these speakers sound increadible.
