Description:

Write for Results provides detailed, specific guidance for constructing and writing powerful and effective business documents. This innovative reference and self-training package from a partnership between JIAN and the American Management Association combines the interactivity and flexibility of a CD-ROM with the mobility and familiarity of a paperback book.

First you can test yourself. In Evaluate Your Writing Skills, try your hand at one of four quizzes and get interactive feedback to see which skills you most need to learn, then later retest yourself with a whole new set of questions. Second, you will learn to write correctly. Explore the Writer's Toolkit gives a complete overview of all the rules of grammar, punctuation, and usage, as well as business buzzwords and spelling tips. Third, practice and apply the skill to business writing. Learn to Write for Results is a step-by-step writing course in which you will find out how to construct an effective memo, letter, or report. This section covers planning the document and its content, writing the first draft, checking that it makes sense (and will get the reaction you hope for), and editing and proofreading it.

Finally, refer to and adapt one of 324 letters written by experts. In Create Your Own Document, you can search the comprehensive database of 324 professionally written business letters to find the perfect one. You can select from topics, search by keyword, browse through the letters, keep a separate file of My Favorite Letters, and then edit a letter in the built-in Write for Results word processor or, if you prefer, you can open the letter directly in MS Word or WordPerfect.
