Summary: Discover the discovery of Chaotic Century!
Review: *no spoilers at all*

This is one of the most misunderstood underrated anime shows I ever seen. No anime has surprised me as this one has. I expected it to be some lame child anime but I was so wrong.

An original adventure mecha anime, with unique mecha designs. You can't compare this show to any other, maybe not even the other Zoid shows. Its one of a kind. Some of the mecha are classic designs from the old early 80s model kits, while theres some new ones.

The creativity of the story & characters impressed me alot. Its got many plot twists and the characters and even better. Some stuff may seem cliche but that doesn't bug me.

Also, the CGI blends in GREAT. That type of animation and cel-shaded type CGI blends so good but I must admit the first 13 or so eps don't look all that great. The CGI improves alot around ep. 15 though.

This show has alot of replay value, you can watch it over and over. Buy the first 2 volumes, at only around $10 for 6 episodes per DVD thats a steal! If you liked the show stick with it cuz it only gets better, the 3rd volume will improve even more. You want something diffrent right? So get this.

Summary: One of the greats!!
Review: All I can say it's about time this comes on DVD. Normally to get a really good anime you must go out and buy it before it goes to the butcher shop, so they can play it on TV. It's not the case here. Like they said above if you have seen the other zoids the idea is well ruined. But in the Chaotic century You truly whitness one of the greatest animes around. The very personalities of the characters are very well devloped and let you get a real insight to the story. Plus it's not just a bunch of giant Mecha fighting for no real reason. Instead their is a real story and a good plot line. NO MORE POINTLESS FIGHTING FOR NO GOOD REASON!! I have seen many diffrent great anime but the Chaotic century is one of the greatest. I recomend this to any one who likes anime.

Summary: Well...
Review: I saw Zoids once. I thought it was cool. Then, I heard of a different series of Zoids. So I watched it, and it was better. Then I found out that what I thought was 'Zoids' was really 'Zoids Zero,' the second season. The second series that I saw, the 'Chaotic Century,' is actually the first series. 'Zero' is just a happy ending.

If you liked 'Zoids Zero,' you'll LOVE 'Chaotic Century.' GET IT DARNIT!!!

Summary: Highly Under Rated
Review: I won't cover the story line or characters as that has already been done, and done quite well. I will say this series is highly under rated because many people who dislike the "battle of the week contest" type of anime got turned off by the other Zoids series. Zoids Chaotic Century, and it's second season, Zoids Guardian Force, are NOT like the other Zoids series. Do not hold the other series against it.

The story is interesting and runs through the entire series, even though there are stand alone episodes. The characters are fascinating and well rounded, and the story is told with humour as well as with drama. The CGI sequences meld in with the anime almost seamlessly, unlike some other series I have seen which use both. The series ends with a nice resolution to the many story lines, even though I REALLY didn't want it to end.

True, this series won't float everyones boat, but I for one have been waiting for almost a year for it to come out on DVD.

Summary: At last this Series has something good going for it
Review: Unlike the first Zoids series which is regarded just as another anime that lasts for 26 episodes and once you've seen it your done with it this series is so much more. It lasts for 67 episodes and can be watched over and over again and be enjoyed every single time. The plot definetly has more to it. This story of Zoids takes place 1,000 years before the other series. Sense humans have barely begun to establish themselves on this planet known as Zi wars are inevitable. The Imperial Army and the Republic have been at war for who knows how long. The wars are fought with Zoids, yes rather than being used for sport like in the other series. The story focuses primarly on a guy named Van. He has alwayys been fascinated with Zoids, but has never gotten a chance to really use one, but naturally fate changes that and he comes across a creature called an organoid which he names Zeke. Zeke revives a battered Shield Liger which Van uses to protect his village. We learn Van had a father who died while serving in the Republican Army and is regarded as a hero by the villagers. Van discovers a young girl who he names Fiona sense she has no memory of who she really is. Although Van knows nothing about Fiona he suspects that she isn't human. Van feeling that he needs to see the world leaves his village with his zoid, Zeke and Fiona in search for adventure. Along the way he meets a tough and cunning opponent named Irvine who he later befriends who pilots a command wolf zoid which is similar to the one Brad pilots in the other series except Irvine's is grey rather than blue. Shortly afterwards Van meets another friend named Moonbay who is somewhat annoying, but smart when it comes to Zoids. This show is good from beginning to end. It still surprises me on how poorly this show was treated on Cartoon Network. Sure the other Zoids series didn't start off on Toonami either, but at least it was on at a decent time. Zoids Chaotic Century was on at 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. so you either had to suffer and get up early or not see the series. Finally after being aired twice it was put on the Toonami block, but the entire series wasn't aired. It was taken off the air at about episode 50. Even when the show was aired in the morning they never showed the last four episodes. The one thing Cartoon Network did was have a special little marathon featuring the last four episodes. I'll admit it's like Tom on Toonami said, "Sometimes bad things happen to good shows." I still have to thank Cartoon Network because if it weren't for it I would've never gotten the chance to see this great show. Now that the series is being put on DVD I hope it'll get the attention it deserves so that more people can enjoy this great anime.
