Summary: Comprehensive DVD of a great wrestling personality!!
Review: The WWE has certainly outdone themselves with this fantastic overview of Ric Flair's career. For four decades now, Ric Flair has been the epitome and pinnacle of what a wrestling great should be and this monumental 3 disc set allows us to get intimate with the man by showing us his greatest matches, interviews and promos. Below is a list of the complete matches:
Disc 1
1. Starrcade 1983-Flair Vs. Harley Race
2. Starrcade 1985-Flair Vs. Dusty Rhodes
3. NWA World Championship Match 1987-Flair Vs. Barry Windham
Highlights of the bonus features on this disc include basically all the promos related to the matches above, plus a 1983 press conference and the Flair Vs. Windham match from 1.13.87.
Disc 2
1. Clash Of The Champions VI-Flair Vs. Ricky Steamboat
2. Wrestlewar 1989-Flair Vs. Ricky Steamboat
3. Clash Of The Champions IX-Flair Vs. Terry Funk (I Quit Match)
All promos related to the above matches are included along with-Flair & Windham Vs. Steamboat and Gilbert 1989 and three fascinating shorts on Flair's plane crash, the History of the Horsemen, and a Day in the life of the Horsemen. These include interviews with Flair, Arn Anderson and many others.
Disc 3
1. Royal Rumble 1992
2. Clash Of The Champions XXVII-Flair Vs. Sting
Tons of bonus features on this one on Flair's entry into the WWE, as well as a nice tribute to the greatest wrestler of all time and Flair's debut match for WWWF in 1976 against Pete Sanchez and a 2003 match featuring Flair Vs. Triple H.
Particularly enjoyable was the footage concerning Ricky Steamboat, truly incredible matches!!
Also the 1992 Royal Rumble that was a virtual who who's of wrestling legends like Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, Roddy Piper, The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan.
Interspersed between the matches on this 3 disc set is recent interview footage with Flair commenting on the benchmarks of his career.
If you buy only one wrestling dvd, make it this one: it will allow you to relive wrestling at its most entertaining with its most charismatic and memorable stars. I sincerely hope the WWE will see fit to release similar packages for other wrestling greats like Rowdy Roddy Piper and Bret Hart. Also, fantastic would be a collection of Saturday Night's Main Event's greatest matches.

Summary: An Epic
Review: To say ths is the greatest DVD set in WWE history is an understatement. This si a must have for any wrestling fan. There are 10 full matches on the DVD, and I'll rate them out of five stars.

vs. Harley Race Starcade '83. ***1/2. This match is an excellent cage match that sees Flair regain the title. It drags on at times, and casual wrstling fans may grow restless. The DVD provides the promos leading up to the match, where Race puts a $25,000 bounty on Flair.

vs. Dusty Rhodes Starcade '85 ****. Probably the best match that these two have had. Once again, they do a great job of providing the story leading up to the match, when the Horsemen break Dusty's ankle.

vs. Barry Windham Worldwide Wrestling 1/20/87 ****1/2. This is an execllent 45 minute match feauting Flair facing Windhan in his prime. There are many twists and turns that get you in to the match. The commercial breaks (it was on TBS) and the confusing finish are the only thing that keep this from being a five star match.

vs. Ricky Steamboat Clash of the Champions VI *****. This was a two out of three falls match that is a technical masterpiece. Once again, it features the event leading up to the match, such as when Steamboat returns to the NWA in a tag match. This match leads up to the next match...

vs. Ricky Steamboat Wrestlewar '89 ****1/2. Again a great match. They call this match "The Greatest Match". While I prefer the previous match, this match is no dud. Flair wins back the title, and a post-match incident with Terry Funk leads up to...

vs. Terry Funk Clash of the Champions IX ****. After five technical matches, it is nice to see an all out brawl. This is an I Quit match and they inflict pain on each other.

Royal Rumble 1992 ****1/2. Flair puts on the performance of a lifetime in his only Rumble. The WWF title is up for grabs here and Flair overcomes the odds when he enters third in the Runble. Bobby Hennan's commentary is absolutely priceless and it is funny to see Monsoon agrivate "the Brain".

vs. Sting Clash of the Champions XXVII ***1/2. Personally I think that the macth between these two at Clash of the Champions I was better, but this is a great match. It is a little short for my liking, however, and this match is used to set up Flair match with Hogan. But it is a good match none the less.

vs. HHH Raw 5/19/03 ****. I rated this match four stars, not because of the match itself (although it was good), but because it had a lot of emotion in it. The post-show tribute is also on here, which is a must see.

vs. Pete Sanchez **. This is a lackluster match, where Flair beats a jobber. Pete has a limeted moveset, and Flair wins with a suplex of all things.

There are also features on the Horsemen and on his 1975 plane crash, which nearly ended his carrer. I would recommend this DVD to just about anybody, so you should buy tbis today!

Summary: The Greatest Of All Time
Review: Ric Flair IS the greatest of all time. There will NEVER be another performer like this man, and this DVD shows exactly why. This is possibly the most AWESOME DVD ever released by the WWE and it will likely stay that way until the WWE releases a Bret Hart DVD. But onto this DVD. It's AWESOME like I said before. Here's my review:

Disc One

vs. Harley Race, Starrcade 83 (this excellent match is of much of slower pace than today's type matches, but it's worth a look) *****

vs. Dusty Rhodes, Starrcade 85 (not a classic, but give it a look ONLY if you've never seen it before) **1/2

vs. Barry Windham, Worldwide 87 (this AWESOME match got the ENTIRE Worldwide show in 87, and if not for the Savage vs. Steamboat match at Wrestlemania III, this would've been the match of the year)*****

Disc Two

vs. Ricky Steamboat, Clash Of The Champions VI, 2/3 Falls (classic, classic, classic, this one IS breathtaking)*****

vs Ricky Steamboat, WrestleWar 89 (another classic with Steamboat where Flair wins the NWA title for the 6th time, they had the greatest series of matches EVER in 1989)*****

vs. Terry Funk, Clash Of The Champions IX, I-Quit match (one of the first true matches to embrace the hardcore stipulation before ECW came, a wild, outstanding brawl, the best I-Quit match ever)*****

Disc Three

The 1992 Royal Rumble match (this rumble match set the standard for all preceding rumbles to follow, Flair's one man show is one for the ages)*****

vs. Sting, Clash Of The Chaampions XXVII (not that great, but give it a look if you never seen it) ***

Also, check out the bonus features and easter eggs as well.

Overall, this DVD is a must have for ANY wrestling fan. BUT, it's missing A LOT of CLASSIC material that should've made this DVD, such as:

vs. Sting (Clash Of The Champions I)
vs. Lex Luger (Starrcade 88)
vs. Ricky Steamboat (Chi-Town Rumble 89)
vs. Terry Funk (Great American Bash 89)
vs. Luger (Wrestlewar 90)
vs. Luger (Capital Combat 90)

vs. Randy Savage (Wrestlemania VIII)
vs. Vader (Starrcade 93)

Otherwise, purchase this DVD set NOW.

Summary: Great Collection
Review: This is a really nice collection of wrestling matches in which Richard Fler was booked to win. Richard, please RETIRE. Your 110 years old. Evolution sucks. Triple H books all your victories. Even grandpapa Arn knew when to quit. By the way Richard, how is Arnie doing? We haven't seen him since he was viciously attack by KANE months ago. Is he still alive? Richard, retire please NOW!!!!

Summary: The Nature Boy RULES!
Review: What can you say about the greatest pure wrestler and world champion of the modern era? Three discs barely do the man justice, for most of his matches are instant classics. SEE...his triumphant return to the NWA World title in a cage at Starrcade. SEE...his formation of the Four Horsemen, the most lethal group of all time. SEE...his showdowns for the title, from Magnum T. A. and Dusty Rhodes, to Nikita Koloff and Lex Luger, to Sting and Ronnie Garvin, to Ricky Steamboat and Terry Funk, to Vader and the Giant. SEE...Ric Flair jump to the (then)WWF as the "real" world champion and systematically take out Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan, capping it off with the greatest Royal Rumble performance of all time. SEE...his battles with Bret Hart, Curt Henning, and Randy Savage. SEE...his return to WCW to fight the NWO and Hollywood Hogan. SEE...the new commissioner of Raw, and the evolution of Evolution. Many, many memorable moments are on this DVD. If you are a fan of wrestling, GET THIS DVD!!!!!

Summary: WHAT'S CAUSING ALL THIS?!
Review: Ric Flair is! The greatest pro wrestler of all time now has a DVD set worthy of him. I've been a Flair fan since the mid-70s, and this 3-disc set is amazing. Every wrestling fan must own this collection. It's that good and then some.

Best of the best:

* The Steamboat 2 of 3 falls match at the Clash. The pinnacle of pro wrestling as a "sport".

* Starrcade '83. The historic night in Greensboro when Flair became "The Man" in the NWA.

* The '92 Royal Rumble. (Note the jealous Hogan stealing Flair's thunder at the end.)

* Post-Windham-match interview: "I am the winner. You are the loser."

* Bobby Heenan's hilarious commentary during the '92 RR and '94 Sting matches.

* History of the Horsemen.

Who else but Flair could fill a 10.5 hr. DVD and still have fans begging for more? Based on the response, WWE is probably putting together Vol. 2 right now. I'd like to see the next set focus on Mid-Atlantic wrestling from 75-80 (which would include some amazing classics, trust me) and the 90s.

Summary: For the true wrestling fans
Review: What an awesome DVD. I've noticed only a couple of bad reviews of this DVD. Those reviews were made by couple of west coast hulkamaniacs who don't know Sh** about wrestling. Do your homework and find out why he is the Man!! or else you're missing out.

I also noticed weak reviews of Flair's match vs Dusty Rhodes. The truth is, this match shows why he is the best. He made Dusty look good. Unlike Hogan, Flair built up his opponents and made them look good.

Summary: Woooo! Watch My Fatty Man-Boobs Flailing In The Wind! Woooo!
Review: If you're reading this, this condemnably implicates you a wrasslin' fan. Definition: people who're violent, suffer from frustrating ineptness to control their lives pursuant to will (proven because wrasslin' lets feebly oppressed people {welfare-recipient, handout-loving Americans} PRETEND to empower themselves via watching people dominate others), push victimization of women, push impure lustfulness towards women, aggressively encourage the misusing rape of English language via bull$hit ebonics, slang and/or colloquialism, AREN'T cultivated, AREN'T interested in exercising their acumen via reading and/or other intelligent mental activities over vile, illicit imitations of beatings, are anti-social, endure the cruelest impairment in expressing themselves civilly, without resorting to barbaric wrath, AND finally, experience THE WORST insecurity predicaments possibly related to microscopic penis sizes (why'd they need to yearningly assure themselves by absorbing false hostility on others?)!!!!

Wrasslin' is so acidly fake, it's grindingly hard to deduce its appeal. Reconsidering, only unripe, inexperienced children's or disconcertingly developmentally stalled teenagers' mentalities would lap this crap up. The most grimly unjust angle on wrasslin's scandalization is the horrifying development that mainly "mature" adults salivate for this home-wrecking pestilence. Shrink back in aghast terror at trivially underdeveloped "adults'" misbehaviors!!!! Firstly, they savagely careen to unbecomingly juvenile mischief concerning what should be grossly censurable at certain ages. They so frantically concentrate on asininely low-minded wrasslin' plotlines; they hoot, roller and riotously pump their clumsy fists in the air!!!! It's like they're SO alarmingly and abominably unfocused-or suffer ADD-that they mercilessly subserve EVEN MORE delinquently rehashed and stupid storylines. How many more times can Austin stutter, "Boh-RRRing!!!!", referees be "knocked-out" when "good guys" "pin" "bad guys", 50-year old, half-crippled, out-of-shape dinosaurs "brawl", "police" "arrest" wrasslers who've disobeyed the latest disallowance of appearing, or the Undertaker or some other ambiguously "black" character be "buried" in other half-assed lameness???? Maybe these regressively backwards, scandalous "adults" even sink so devastatingly into unrealistic childhood that they hallucinate the stuff's real!!?? Admittedly, when I was an ill-educated, inexperienced, irresponsible youth/teenager, I too sunk in this degradedly lowbrow entertainment-like the presents' progressively virulent "adults"-except cultivation struck me efficiently early. How much more arduously can backsliding "adults" be impressed by laughable "Irish Whips", falsified "Piledrivers", fronting "Suplexes" and illegitimate "Clotheslines"???? I bet these are the ilk who live paycheck-to-paycheck!!!!

In distressing addition, wrasslin' infects impressionable minds with inexcusable social diseases. So, if you're an imbecilic, sloth-like, semi-unemployed lowbrow who endorses wrasslin', you're conspiratorially spreading violent social disease on children!!!! A considerable segment of viewers comes from filthily impressionable kids, 12-17. These sacrifices are "vulnerable segment" because they haven't progressed to maximizing decision-making!!!! Teacher ratings-assessments by polling teachers watching students' outward behaviors, since they're feasible to perception-have regularly been used to unmask harmful damages in children!!!! I.E., in 2003, surveys were mailed to 1200 second-to-eighth-grade teachers in a southeastern state. Teachers responded 45% of their ill-bred brats watch wrasslin'; 25% of teachers conceded they prejudiced students who watch WWE aggressive, perpetrating HORRIBLE grades, tired, using FOUL language and misbehaving!!!! Those teachers also juried wrasslin' was harmful to children's development, and was more harmful than other forms of entertainment. 42% of said teachers professed their brats impersonated wrestling moves causing hurt to others, 25% confirmed schoolbrats imitated VULGAR language from WWE, 28% affirmed schoolchildren impersonated Austin's RAISED MIDDLE FINGER, and 16% declared chauvinistically verminous male students imitated SALACIOUS sexual connotations on FEMALE students!!!!

Inescapably, wrasslin rapes women in societal, cultural contexts, polluting their image. Tawdry whores whom the WWE has misappropriated to help damage the reputations of women and the subliminal ways men treat women-whore Keibler, whore Stratus, whore Torrie, to just name a couple-are clearly soulless backsliders who've backstabbed their gender's fight for equality in the genocidal lust for filthy lucre that McMahon seduces them with!!!! They're meritless in the context of the WWE dilapidating women, but for women who're petrified of the implications this'll fate on their own gender-discriminated lives, and for men wanting to be seen as "sensitive", such maltreatment of women will incur MORE violence toward women, impair their advances in suffrage, and abusively reduce them to pieces of meat. With how grudgingly nearly every "appearance" of these WWE whores impurely connotes ungodly debauchment, from dressing so inadequately they look like tormentingly high-priced call-girls to actually, malignantly partaking in diabolically sex-suggestive "Bra-Panties-and-Condom Matches", you can bet your asses that the most backwardly unregenerate male teenagers WILL be degenerated to beat women, inroads WILL be made to harm even more the perilously fragile improvements in women's rights, like earnings and education, and women WILL be once more banefully coarsened to equate with the 16th century-style property-of-their-husbands, and sold off in dowries to marriages where they'll be demeaned solely for sex, like breeding animals.

If you're a wrasslin' "fan", we'll conclude you have to constrictively fit certain social, stereotypical parameters. You're quick to hostility because of all the rottenly subliminal messages of problem-solving-through-violence that infest your frailly educated mind. Since you're a Neanderthal-like knuckledragger, and consequently have no need for learning, one can make the safest bet that you can't articulate your speech in any shape resembling even, in the slightest, a creature that walks UPRIGHT!!!! Probably like ignominiously Caucasian, suburban kids who pretend they're "urban" (black), you slur speech in the most abusively dense, ignorant, and backwards illness possible. Dreadfully accompanying these pointedly partisan profiles is personal cleanliness, wherein you perilously, probably lapse also, if you're a wrasslin' fan. You obstinately refuse to bathe anywhere near regularly, and most likely emit an unsavorily reeking stench from underneath your yellow-stained, bodily cavities in the derogatively stigmatized form of B.O.. Another quite safe stereotyping to hazard would be that (as adversely incompassionate Howard Dean tripped in saying) you drive a pickup-truck as your prime and sole vehicle, are exhaustively fond of chewing blades of grass, brutally love to look uncouth, wearing a ballcap reverse, perhaps (and this is a murderously speculative point) dabble a bit in incest, polish your shotgun religiously, and bestially likely enroll in square dancing and fiddle-playing classes, right!!??!!??
