Summary: Best Story Ever
Review: "A Snoodle's Tale" is the best story Big Idea has come up with so far. I didn't particularly like the Silly Song or the story about Dr Jiggle and Mr. Sly, but they were ok. The reason I gave this five stars was because of the story "a Snoodle's Tale." I think it is an incredible story and has a wonderful message. My only complaint about it was they didn't animate it as well as the other episodes, though the backgrounds and colors were very nice.

Summary: sweet and profound
Review: Because "A Snoodle's Tale" is different in character and appearance to other VeggieTales productions, I was a little reluctant to try it. But it has actually turned out to be a favorite of both my daughter's and mine. Softer colors and a rhyming dialogue makes this gentle and appealing to younger Veggie fans (think Dr. Seuss) without excluding the older ones, and the message, far from being a modern cliché of "just like yourself," is both sweet and profound. The little snoodle who is the hero of the tale is weighed down heavily by the demeaning pictures other snoodles have paint of him, so much so, in fact, that he is unable to fly. But eventually he learns that letting go of other's opinions and carrying only his creator's portrait of him makes him so light he can not only fly, but soar. He, in turn, gives his creator a picture he has painted, and the creator is so pleased, he puts it on his fridge. I actually got a little teary at one point.

My daughter and her friends of various ages love this story, as they do the rhyming Veggie version of the Good Samaritan, which is also included on this DVD. Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde is amusing, too, though not, I think, as much as the special feature home movie footage included of Mike Nawrocki practicing the gourd dance all alone in his living room.

All in all a creative, solid, amusing, touching venture. A better experiment than Larry Boy, in my opinion, and I hope they produce other Snoodle tales.

Summary: HA! Funny!
Review: I got this as an early b-day gift and I think its great! I really
liked "Dr. Jiggle and Mr. Sly" But you might think it more or
less funny if you've read the book its based on and what you think of it. I loved the silly song too!
All veggietales fans should get it. Its fantastic!

Summary: The best yet
Review: I just bought this DVD for my 4 1/2 year old son and almost 2 year old daughter and they both love it!! I also love it!! We watch most of our DVD's in the van and this one is so great for the parents to listen to while driving because the songs are awesome. It's very funny and has a terrific message that kids and parents both can appreciate and hopefully apply to their lives. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, it's really, really good!!

Summary: Worst Silly Song Ever!
Review: I just had to say that SUV is probably the worst Silly Song to date. I think they were going for a mock Meatloaf type style, mixed with Rice-Weber or something. Doesn't really hit a note with me. I like the fact it makes fun of SUVs and their common use of just going to pick up coffee at dunkin donuts. I understand where it is going, just it is so bad. The rest of the DVD, however, is fantastic! The Snoodles Tale portion is probably one of the most endearing stories I have heard from the Veggie Tales creators. Very touching! The animation in this segment, is very well done as well, and there is a piece on that describing what they did to make it so. More than makes up for the Silly Song being so terrible. Mr Jiggle and Mr Sly is wonderfully funny! My husband wonders though if fat kids at school will be called Mr. Jiggle, but I think if they do, then the watcher missed the point. I gave it only 4 stars because of the silly song.

Summary: Classic Format, Incredibly Good!
Review: I love this DVD; it is just fabulous! Using the classic style of two distinct stories, one silly song, and the counter-top sequences, this is an exciting return to the original format (not to say that the other Veggie Tales are not as good; I like them just as well).

Segment 1: Dr Jiggle & Mr Sly
Brilliantly funny, throwing in some groovy disco numbers and an absolutely addictive Broadway-style "I Long to Dance" song that is simply fabulous.

Silly Song: Sport Utility Vehicle
Okay, this is rapidly becoming my favorite Silly Song. Featuring Larry and done in a duet style, I have had an absolute blast singing this song with my wife (use the Veggie Karaoke feature on the DVD to view the words to sing along). The song pokes light-hearted fun at SUV overkill (and no, it's not being "politically correct," just incredibly funny).

Segment 2: Snoodle's Tale
With the look, sound, and feel of a Dr. Seuss story, Snoodle's Tale brings to the DVD a story that becomes ultimately heart-touching in a way that brings me to tears every time I watch it. It has to be one of the most brilliant depictions of what God does for us when He sets us free to be all that He wants us to become.

As a bonus, you get the classic Flibber-o-loo story, but I'm wondering why "Are You My Neighbor?" is the last one to see a DVD release of the regular titles. I hope there is not some issue holding its DVD release up.

The other features, including Easter Eggs, are worth checking out.

Don't miss out on this DVD. Buy it, you will most likely love it.

Summary: Great for all ages!!!
Review: I own I think, all of the Veggie Tale movies, and by review from my children and I, we give this movie 5 stars! I love how they mixed in Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde in with the movie without being too scary, which made it more interesting for adults. The Snoodle's Tale was told in a Dr. Suess way which was cute for the kids, but the major highlight of this movie was the Silly Song! My kids are 2,3,7,8,8,10 and 11 and they have me put on the SUV song and repeat it over and over again. It is the best so far.

Summary: Great as Always!
Review: My kids just LOVE Veggie Tales. My two year old sings, "if you like to talk to tomatoes" and my one year old tries to follow. That shows how many times they have watched Veggie Tale movies. This is a great movie, the storyline is wonderful as always, the writers never let us down (except for not releasing them fast enough). We own all of their DVDs and seven of my kids love them, from the 1 year old to the 11 year old.

Summary: The tradition Continues
Review: Once again Big Idea has produced a wonderful video with about 40 mins of new stuff along with the entire Flibber-o-Loo segment from the "Are You My Neighbor" video.

It's the classic countertop format with Bob & Larry reading letters and consulting QWERTY at the end.

The Dr. Jiggles & Mr Sly story was surprisingly funny (I'm finding myself humming disco tunes all the time now). My son loved it. The SUV silly song is right on the nose and depending on your love for these over-sized vehicles could take some warming up to. The Dr. Seuss take-off, A Snoodle's Tale, was very well done. It's similar to Flibber-o-Loo is the fact that they're both inspired by Seuss, but this one is much better. The style is more clever and the set design is much more visually interesting.

Once again, it had great values and this show should help kids learn that God has big plans for everyone of us. And that certainly is Good News.

Summary: Worth it? Uh, yeah! Just ask Him! ;-)
Review: So Bob and Larry aren't the main feature, right? What's so special about this DVD entitled, "A Snoodle's Tale"? EVERYTHING!
Who's this for? Every person! If you have a problem with this, check your self esteem!

Well, Larry comes back from camp, supposedly a Danish camp, yet ends up in a literature adaptations camp instead. Try something on for size such as "Dr. Jiggle and Mr. Sly!" Yet, the main feature keeps the attention. Veggie Tales meets Dr. Suess! Meet a simple Snoodle who feels out of place, because other snoodles make him feel terrible with their pictures that simply make fun of him. Oh, he has paints, wings, and even a kazoo, yet the other snoodles make fun of him with mean pictures.
But he meets his creator. How does he look in his creator's eyes? What will his creator say?

Does this require a possible box of tissues? Just maybe. Don't miss out on this treasure! It is so worth it! Oh, and so is the song about the sport utility vehicle!
