Summary: Great Concept, but not very interesting
Review: The Baby Einstein series has a few engaging videos for infants that don't have education in mind, and, they have this video that has education in mind but is not very entertaining. I applaud the courage to try this concept in America, and I believe it started a whole new trend in baby videos. I thank Julie Clark for that, although I with my youngest, I've foregone an introduction to the Baby Einstein videos after trying them with my 2 year old.
I also don't believe in putting children in front of the television at the suggested age group. An infants eyesight doesn't develop until 4 months old, and this should have been taken into consideration in its making and marketing. With all the newer videos that just came out, like the Baby Know-It-All series (absolute favorites for both toddlers) and Bilingual Baby's more targeted language associations, I find that Baby Einstein is not a great buy.

Summary: great entertainment for baby!
Review: My son started watching Baby Einstein when he was 2 months old and loves it! Although I don't feel that television is good for a baby these videos are great! We received the other videos, Baby Mozart and Baby Bach, as gifts and he enjoys them as well. I prefer the Einstein and Mozart tapes above Bach. Baby Bach, although stimulating with a nice soundtrack, seems a bit slow and is more focused on showcasing the creator's daughters. If you are looking for a stimulating, educational set of videos for your baby than these are it! They may seem a bit "homemade" but all three videos promote learning through the use of foreign language, bold colors, the use of cause and effect, and repetition which are enhanced by the great classical music tracks. Everything I've ever researched on child development is used very well in these tapes. I recently purchased Baby Shakespeare and Baby Webster, although my son is still a little young for them yet, and am looking forward to Baby Van Gogh!

Summary: Baby Einstein Language Nursery DVD
Review: My least favorite BE video. Rather boring and not very captivating. I was hopeful due to my teaching our son spanish--but it bores me to death. My grandmother actually threatened to kill me if I made her sit through it again!

Summary: Gret Video for learning languages.
Review: I bought this video when my son was 6 months old and he loves it!! I usually put it on right before feeding time, so he would sit still while I feed him.
As a multi-lingual parent I really love this video. I speak 5 languages and I learned them all as a child while traveling around the world. As a child you're able to hear and learn sounds/language and imitate it, even if you don't understand it at first. Some of the lanugagues on the video I do not know, but I can pick out what language it is by the sound and tone of voice being spoken. This is a great video!!!

Summary: An educated parent's $.02
Review: I had to add my input after reading all the reviews, positive and negative. This video does indeed appear "homemade." However, the creator (Julie Clark) and her husband, who does all the video, have gotten progressively more sophisticated with each video, although I would not recommend any of the Baby _____ videos for their video quality. Regardless, they are captivating to young babies. My six month old son has been watching all three, Einstein, Mozart and Bach since he was one month old. I was very dubious regarding the claims that they would interest a baby this young. He reacted with delight then, and continues to enjoy them all. He has just started watching Baby Shakespeare which seems to be his favorite, so don't be afraid to start your baby early on this one. I would suggest if your baby doesn't take to it the first time, give it a second try. You can get all the adult opinions you want, but really, it's how your baby reacts that counts! It's been designed to appeal to babies and their view of the world.

Summary: Not very interesting for young babies
Review: I was very disappointed in the particular Einstein DVD; my son loses interest within the first few minutes. There isn't much music and the words are spoken very softly and difficult to hear. For the amount of money for DVD's I would stay away from this one.

Summary: Okay but not great
Review: The video was just okay - I don't think my daughter picked up any words. The other Baby Einstein videos are better and kept her attention longer. If you want your kid to learn or become used to hearing a foreign language, I recommend the Bilingual Baby series or, even better, just plain songs without the damaging effects of television -- my girl really likes the Global Village Kids Sing and Learn CDs (bilingual nursery rhymes in French, German and Spanish). They are more educational.

Summary: it's ok
Review: Like many here have already stated, I believe this is not the best Baby Einstein video. My children bore easily when watching it...probably because they have no idea what is being said. I think it could be made better by having either subtitles in English or by having the sub-titles in the language that is being spoken. At least then the parents would be able to help the children understand better.

Summary: Might not seem interesting to Parents but babies love it
Review: As a parent I of course though this video was kind of odd. But my we got this DVD for my daughter when she was six months old and everytime it's on she can't take her eyes off it. She is now eight months old and she still loves it. When she is fussy we put it on and she calms right down. It has a good variety of languages also.

Summary: Doesnt compare to the rest
Review: I'm not sure what the point of the various languages is. For an infant, it's just unusual noises he won't hear again, or often. For an older child, it's probably confusing, even frustrating. And the images on this release simply don't compare to the wonder, rhythm, or photography of the others in the series. The idea behind this one's a bit kitchy. If you want your kid to learn a language, do that separately, in some other fashion.
