Rating: Summary: Not the best but for Cruella Review: Certainly not my favorite Disney film. Although I loved Cruella. The late Marc Davis did an excellant job with her.
Rating: Summary: "Excellent in every way..." Review: Delightful Disney film remains one of his best, although critics seem to disagree. Set in London with very different tone than many other Disney films. Excellent in every way, with a winning script and marvelous characters. Cruella Deville is a more than memorable villian, and is much more menacing than most Disney baddies.
Rating: Summary: Disney's MASTERPIECE 101 Dalmations Review: Disney's 17th animated film 101 Dalmations is a hilarious comedy about a dog who wants a mate & wants his owner,Roger to have a wife & destiny strikes Pongo(the dog),sees another attractive dalmation with a very attrctrive owner & its fate they meet in the park & end up being wed.I can't tell anymore what happens after that would give the movie away.Buy this movie! Its a film the whole family will enjoy!
Rating: Summary: A dog's life Review: Don't expect this type of overacting Disney movie that can be a sweet movie. It was pretty funny. It will be better than the second movie 102 Dalmatians.
Rating: Summary: Delightful Film! Review: Glenn Close is marvelous. The movie is very much a delightful film for the whole family, and every one will enjoy it. This film is a masterpiece taking place in my home city, London. Close plays the sneeky Cruella DeVil to the heart. You can tell that Glenn Close really studies her characters, by this and many of her other films. The people in charge of filming this movie deserve as much credit as they can get. They used nearly hundreds of Dalmation puppies over the year they filmed this because the puppies grew so quickly. It is truly wonderful, and we salute those who participated in making it.
Rating: Summary: "101 Dalmatians" Review: Having watched both the live-action and the animated versions of "101 Dalmatians," I find the live-action version to be vastly superior. This updated classic has a fresh, fun storyline. The actors who play the characters seem perfectly suited for their roles. Glenn Close is particularly good as Cruella De Vil. The movie was filmed in England and each scene is beautifully crafted. The director has done a remarkable job of giving the dogs respected status as emotion-feeling, three dimensional characters without resorting to the silly and mundane method of giving them human voices. Being a dog trainer myself, the thing I most enjoy about the movie is the absolutely phenomenal job done by the dog handlers. Not only are the trained behaviors remarkable, but the handlers have elicited responses from the dogs that readily convey understandable "emotions" to the audience. The ONE glaring fault of this movie is the final scene where all of the dogs have been allowed to breed ad infinitum. I find that totally irresponsible and the reason this movie gets 4 stars instead of 5.
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: I admire this movie for the cruelness and wickedness of Cruella. The best example of this is when she tries but fails to buy the puppies from Anita and Roger. So she sends Horace and Jasper to steal them. Now it's a wild chase to return the puppies to their home. It's an action-packed and exciting movie. I also recommend 102 Dalmatians.
Rating: Summary: The live-action remake cannot hold a candle to the original Review: I bought the animated version of this film back in the 1980's when it was originally released and have enjoyed watching it over and over again. I went to see the (so-called) remake in live action and was very disappointed. The fact that they turned a good animated adventure into a comedy was very annoying so I am glad to see that the original is being re-released. Long live Disney animation.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES IN HISTORY Review: I can't tell you how much I love this. This is a gazillion times better than the animated feature : Better developed, more hilarious, better adapted and better performed. If you don't see this, you don't know what you're missing. It's highly recommended for all Disney/Animal/Comedy/Family Entertainment fans. This is definetely 100% better than that garbage they call 'Titanic'
Rating: Summary: Better Than The Animated Film Review: I enjoyed this a lot better than I did the animated film. The animated film was good, but the liver version was much better! Glenn Close played an excellent Cruella!!!
