Summary: Convenience Yes - Sound Quality - Not Really
Review: Buy this item for it's convenience but if you are expecting anything approaching great sound you will be sorely disappointed. At a low volume the sound is pretty good but any increase causes horrible distortion. I like it for what it is though.

Summary: Can not go wrong!
Review: I just purchased this deal and it is great! I would not say that I experience "surround sound" or anything approaching a set of Beau Speakers, but they deliver crisp clean sound with decent bass at a volume that works for me in the car or in my office...the good sound quality coupled with portability and simplicity make this thing a great buy for 30 bucks...My only complaint is that I wish they had put the on off switch outside the case somewhere...it is on the inside and I often forget to turn it off to save the battery life. But I can live with it. Great deal, perfect gift, keeps me "legal" in my car! (no more headphones)

Summary: Definately worth the money
Review: I purchased this about 4 months ago and the only downfall to it at all is that at higher volume there is a bit of clipping. The battery life is decent (about 8 hours on 3 AA Batteries). convenient layout. Typically I would load 12 CDs along with a CD player as opposed to 24 cds. In doing so my discs and player were kept safe from damage, however with more bass-heavy discs, there was a bit of skipping even though my player has skip protection. When all is said and done though, this is a really solid product. It is of good enough quality that about 10 of my friends followed suit and bought them as well.

Review: I recently had my car stereo stolen and bought this case not thinking I would get much use out of it. I sure was wrong. I use this case all the time. Sure it doesn't replace my stereo, but it has excellent sound. Most cases CD cases are around this price anyways. There are velcro straps inside to hold the case together while it is standing up and facing you. Inside there is a pocket for a CD player. The only gripe I have is that you cannot hold the full amount of cd's while there is a player inside. Well worth the money. I would like to see this used with an ipod.

Summary: Great Product
Review: I saw this product on the tv show The View. They were showing Christmas gifts for under thirty dollars. I checked it out on Amazon and ordered 2 of them.I wish I had bought more for gifts.Everyone at our family Christmas party wanted one.So I plan to purchase more. The product is great, the stereo sound is wonderful.I only could offer TDK one sugestion.Where you put your portable Cd player should have a flap with velgro to make it easier to open the cd player to change cds and not have to take the whole Cd player out.Other then that I would recommend this product to everyone.Great gift for someone that has everything.Great for the beach, pool, deck and light weight so you can take it anywhere you want to and listen to your favorite cds.Try one and you will want to buy another

Summary: Cool and convenient, w/OK sound
Review: I wasn't expecting much from such a gimmicky product, but so far it's really delivered.

*** OK Sound Fidelity
**** Good Volume for size
***** Cool & functional form, integrated into CD case
***** Solid Build Quality
**** Overall, at the price I paid, I give it 4+ stars

It's easy to overdrive these, but resist the temptation and they'll sound fine. In fact, they sound WAY BETTER and 3-5 times louder than my laptop's built-in speakers(which I used to think where OK, but couldn't play a DVD loud enough for everyone to hear when visiting family at the hospital--a very noisy hospital).
At MSRP, guess I might have to think twice about it... but for ten less(which is what I paid) they're great!

Speakers have good mids and highs(for the price), doing a nice job w/vocals, most jazz and acoustic tunes, but can't really hack techno/trance(weak base) and acid/hard rock(muddled guitar distortion) ...but then, at this size and price I didn't expect they would.

TIPS:
- Use sound processors
I never use Trubass and Surround effects, since they do more harm than good, but was surprised to hear they REALLY HELP these little speakers (you're not gonna hear subtle harmonics in your music w/these speakers anyway, so might as well enjoy what you can).

- Use fresh batteries
Takes 3 AA's, and plays WELL past when it should stop on weak ones(maybe forever?). When bats get fairly drained the bass breaks up BADLY.

(I'm sure it's my imagination, but the more I use 'em the better they sound to me... strange?)
