Summary: Cool and convenient, w/OK sound
Review: I wasn't expecting much from such a gimmicky product, but so far it's really delivered.

*** OK Sound Fidelity
**** Good Volume for size
***** Cool & functional form, integrated into CD case
***** Solid Build Quality
**** Overall, at the price I paid, I give it 4+ stars

It's easy to overdrive these, but resist the temptation and they'll sound fine. In fact, they sound WAY BETTER and 3-5 times louder than my laptop's built-in speakers(which I used to think where OK, but couldn't play a DVD loud enough for everyone to hear when visiting family at the hospital--a very noisy hospital).
At MSRP, guess I might have to think twice about it... but for ten less(which is what I paid) they're great!

Speakers have good mids and highs(for the price), doing a nice job w/vocals, most jazz and acoustic tunes, but can't really hack techno/trance(weak base) and acid/hard rock(muddled guitar distortion) ...but then, at this size and price I didn't expect they would.

TIPS:
- Use sound processors
I never use Trubass and Surround effects, since they do more harm than good, but was surprised to hear they REALLY HELP these little speakers (you're not gonna hear subtle harmonics in your music w/these speakers anyway, so might as well enjoy what you can).

- Use fresh batteries
Takes 3 AA's, and plays WELL past when it should stop on weak ones(maybe forever?). When bats get fairly drained the bass breaks up BADLY.

(I'm sure it's my imagination, but the more I use 'em the better they sound to me... strange?)

Summary: I'm a speaker & CD case.
Review: I've been looking for a convenient way to play music from my Tungsten T without headphones and this is it. I've looked at other portable speakers, but there were too many wires to them. The sound quality is quite good, it won't fill a room; but for personal listening or a small gathering of friends it works great. It takes three AAA batteries which seem to last quite awhile, I haven't had to change the batteries yet(it's been about three weeks since I've had it-but I don't use it continuously). The only thing missing is something to boost the bass, then again it's not designed to replace a boombox. There is another version with only one speaker built in, but it holds half the CD's. I only gave 4 stars because of the bass, it's still great addition to my collection of CD player, PDA, and MP3 player. Now if they could only come up with one with a multi-player connector...

Summary: pretty surprised for the price/perfromance
Review: the first time I ever heard this is listen the mono model in ratshak
I plug it to my Axim, sound really good, but it costed 20
I never trusted NXT technology due to some negative feedback
however, when I stopped by jandr, and see this model for irresistible 16.99, then I give a try (can be used as CD book, and a pouch to hold my pda...I am no longer to use CD player
the mid, high, mid low is natural, without any harmonics
the bass I don't expect that much, however, I am satisfied, though it's not that "booming"
the volume is loud enough to fill up a kitchen without distortion
if you'd like to tryout the speaker with NXT technology, get this, you should be happy with

Summary: Can not go wrong!
Review: The sound is a little boxy, but the volume is good enough to fill a 20'x40' (approx.) room with no added distortion. If size and convenience are a priority, then this is a must buy. If you are looking for excellent sound quality, look somewhere else. For my uses, it is a prefect fit.

Summary: UK product "OUTLOUD"
Review: This is the UK product launched by TDK which is closest to I'm a Speaker.
Bought one as gift for relative at Xmas.
Having since heard it in action, I will now buy one for myself!

Summary: Fantastic product for the price - great sound!
Review: This summer my wife bought some travel speakers at Radio Shack for about $10-12. Terrible quality. So in anticipation of a trip to NZ, I did some research looking for travel speakers for my portable CD and stumbled across reviews in UK and Europe for this TDK product. The reviews sounded fantastic. Luckily I found the product on Amazon. They arrived last night and certainly fill the bill for very decent quality travel speakers. In fact, I can fit my CD player and 24 CDs in the softcase. If you consider the price, etc. - this is an excellent buy.

Summary: TDK I'm A Speaker CD Softcase
Review: This TDK Softcase has fantastic sound and holds 24 CDs. Great for on-the-go traveling, or just about anywhere. Connects to CD player, MP3 player, or notebook computer. I can't believe the sound is great with just 3 AA batteries. Sounds exactly like surround sound. Very portable (of course, TDK has the best electronics and accesories).

Sound ***** advanced sound
Portability **** bit rigid and boxy-like
Price **** slightly expensive
Color **** very nice shade of blue
Overall **** pleasent color, advanced sound, what more could you ask for?
