Summary: as good as it gets
Review: among the best 3 movies of 1997, along with good will hunting & l.a.confidential. this movie has 3 top artistes giving off their best. the story is simple, and yet so complex. the characters are out-of-the-world and yet so real. as good as it gets revels in this paradox.

touching at the raw chords, a story of a man who cannot (or rather does not want to) reveal his emotions. helen hunt plays the woman that turns him around, the one person who makes him "want to be a better man". greg kinear plays a brilliant role as the gay friend. he would have bagged the oscars in most years, his tough luck that he ran into robin williams giving his career best performance in good will hunting.

as good as it gets is funny, endearing, touching, dark, sad, cathartic, confusing and enlightening all at once. one of the modern masterpieces. the casting director deserves a special award for this casting coup. watch the movie for the brilliant performances, the arresting chemistry between these superstars, the heart-rending moments between them. this is one of the best movies of the 90s.

Summary: Amazing acting of Nicholson, Hunt and Kinnear
Review: I don`t get tired of watching this movie! What can we say about Jack Nicholson? And I`m in love with Helen Hunt. Little things in ordinary life can inspire a great story.

Summary: Jack's THE MAN, And I mean THE MAN
Review: Jack Nicholson has for quite some time been one of my favourite actors. In As Good As It Gets he puts in a sparkling performance. It must be those mad eyebrows?

The plot evolves around Melvin (Nicholson), an obssesive-compulsive,(can't walk on a crack, has to lock the door five times every time, etc) who has a tremendous talent of saying the completely wrong thing all the time. Often very offensive things, but he just can't help himself. Well, no disresepct to Nicholson, he is perfect for the part. He looks mad, yet intelligent, he's elequent, yet abuusive. The Oscar he won was deserving. Anyway, he meets this waitress (Helen Hunt) in his favourite restaurant (again, has his own table which only he can sit at, brings his own plastic cutlery). Hunt's son is sick and in desperate need of medical attention, something he can't get without money (Mmmm...sounds familiar). You sense a connection between Nicholson and Hunt. She later comments 'when I first saw you I thought you were hansome, then you opened your mouth' Greg Kinnear plays Nicholson's gay neighbour, and you can imagine some of the names he has to call him. Kinnear puts in a fine performance, in my opinion worthy of an Oscar.

As the film progresses, the bond between Hunt and Nicholson seems to get stronger. Both are fragile people, and in the end find strength in each other. Despite Nicholson's mouth.

This is a truly remarkable film. It's extremely funny, touching and has a great cast.

Summary: An enjoyable movie that teaches a leason.
Review: I loved this movie though the acting was supurb i loved it, because it teaches a good moral leason on life. And that is "eveything your going through will be ok in the end". I would have to say that my favorite part of it is the song at the end "Allways look on the bright side of Life" its kind of hope filling. The movie is one of the best and should be seen by all.
