Summary: Very funny
Review: I do believe that it would take a strong and determined man to swear off sex (of any kind) for 40 days. In 40 Days and 40 Nights, Matt Sullivan (Josh Hartnett) vows to do just that. This sets the stage for some hilarious scenes. Just remember faking it, Viagra, and pears. There's also some romance that actually manages not to be ordinary and boring. There are big laughs in this movie and I really enjoyed it. I'm glad that Hartnett has moved up from lousy films like Pearl Harbor and Here on Earth to enjoyable movies like Black Hawk Down and this one.

Summary: Not as funny as advertised.
Review: I finally got around to watching this, and I have to say that I was very disappointed. I understand that it's a comedy but I'm sorry, it just wasn't that funny. Perhaps it's the weak plot behind it all, but I tend to think of this film as something somebody wrote on a napkin at lunch one day at Denny's.

I've had friends who bet on everything too, but when they start a website based on my personal life ..... I'm sorry but they're in for a serious awakening as to the harsh world of reality. I'm still not sure why I'm giving this film 2 stars instead of 1.

Summary: JOSH
Review: I found 40 Days and 40 Nights to be quite entertaing... not necessarily the plot or the movie... but JOSH HARTNETT!!! he is so sexy in this movie! Although i did get a great deal of laughs from this movie... the best part without a doubt is josh!!! NUMMY!!! His character in 40 days and 40 nights, Matt, was a great change from the seriousness of his other roles. i loved it and as soon as it comes out on DVD... i will be the 1st person to be there!

Summary: CAN I HAVE MY MONEY BACK?
Review: I found this movie crude, vulgar and extremely disappointing. What little plot line there was is overshadowed by the sleazy goings on in the office etc. I was a Josh Hartnett fan but I can truly say I am going to be very leary about paying to see another one of his films. Josh, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? I went with my 21 year old daughter and was horribly embarrassed and saddened that such a good actor would stoop to playing in such a horrid film.

Summary: Great Romantic Comedy
Review: I found this movie to be one of the best romantic comidies I have seen in a long time. It had a cast of not so popular actors, but they did a very good job at their roles. I watched it over and over when i rented it. It really touched me, the he would go to such lengths to fulfill a vow he made, even through all the tormenting he underwent from his collegues at work. This is a must buy movie for all who like romance.

Summary: Well....
Review: I gave it three b/c I couldn't give two and a half. I remembered this movie b/c I saw it on the first day it came out. What can I say, it was my b-day and I consider any Josh Hartnett movie a gift to myself but this one left me kinda...

Let down after all the hype. This movie seriously had me salivating to see MORE MORE MORE of Josh Hartnett (like almost every movie he does, blow dry being the exception) BUT I kinda got drowsy in the middle. Don't get me wrong the movie does have its moments, I WILL be getting the DVD 'cuz I'm a huge Hartnett fan and I LOVE Paulo Costanzo, but it left me kinda feeling indifferent.

Summary: Hartnett is good
Review: I liked Josh Hartnett in this picture, because he manages to convey his pain at having to be celibate for 40 days so well--he basically looks almost excruciatingly miserable the entire movie. He also projects a certain vulnerability that is sort of appealing, and the way all the hot girls in the office keep throwing themselves at him to try to sabotage his vow of celibacy is pretty funny and of course just puts him in even more pain. His best friend in the movie, unfortunately I don't know the actor's name, but he's the guy with the shock of curly brown hair, from whom Josh keeps finding out all the ways people are trying to sabotage his celibacy vigil/quest, is also pretty good. Good for a bargain matinee at least.

Summary: Amazing Sex Comedy
Review: I really enjoyed the movie and I thought it was pretty hilarious. Although some of the jokes are extremely crude or are of an extremely sexual nature, the film somehow manages to remain sweet. The main idea of the film, which is for Matt (Josh Hartnett) to stay away from sex and other forms of it, for Lent is quite clever and is beautifully illustrated in the film. If you are a fan of Josh Hartnett or comedies of a sexual nature, I recommend this film to you. :)

Summary: Go Josh
Review: I really enjoyed this film, it was funny, quirkey, hilarious and entertaining, Josh is soooo cute. I thought it was a movie that you could just watch and and not really miss anything. Sometimes I just enjoy going to see a movie that I don't have to concentrate on every word so you don't miss the plot. It was nice to see Josh in all the scenes. He is right up there next to Ben Affleck. I have seen all of Joshs movies and he is getting better with each one, I really enjoyed him in Black Hawk Down also.

Summary: This was a cute film...
Review: I really like Josh Hartnett, and I think he did a wonderful job in this film. It was definitely a nice change from all his recent war movies. This movie is basically about a guy named Matt who gives up sex for Lent, because it became meaningless for him after he broke up with his girlfriend. When he meets the perfect girl, he is really put to the test. Can he keep his vow? Well, I'm not gonna give that away, but I will tell you that the whole thing drives him almost completely insane! It is a really good movie, and I thought it was funny when Matt saw his brother (who is working to become a priest) kissing a nun. I also thought the scene where Matt was handcuffed to the bed was pretty funny, and the scene when he ate dinner at his parents' house. Though the film was somewhat degrading to women, I highly recommend it because it is very amusing.
