(this match was a great opener, the ending was awesome)
2. Y2J vs. Batista- 6/10- winner- Batista
( this match was at first slow paced, picked up towards the end, very controvesial ending.)
3. La resitance vs. Ric FLair and Eugene- 6/10- winner- La resistance
( pretty funny match with Eugence mockin Flair, La resistance wins by DQ when Eugene goes nuts and beats everyone up)
4. Matt Hardy vs. Kane- 10/10- winer- Matt HArdy
( This was a crazy no DQ match Kane dominated most of the match but matt put in a bunch of nice moves, this match was fast paced and lots of action, the ending was great.)
5. Randy Orton vs. Edge- 8/10- winner- Edge
( the match started off pretty slow but towards the end it got great with a awesome ending that backfired on Orton)
6. Molly HOlly vs. Victoria- 4/10- winner- Victoria

Review: 2004 Vengeance
July 11, 2004
Hartford Civic Center
Hartford, Connecticut

Rhyno & Tajiri V. The Coach & Garrison Cade
Good opener with some good spots in it. Rhyno and Tajiri win with the Gore. **3/4

Chris Jericho V. Batista
Another good match. Batista wins with a awesome powerbomb, but, Jericho's foot was on the ropes. ***

World Tag Team Championship:
La Resistance (Champions) V. Ric Flair & Eugene
Alot better than I thought. Very Entertaining with La Resistance winning by DQ after Eugene goes nuts. ****

No Disqualification Match:
Kane V. Matt Hardy
Good match, but I question the ending very much. The ending hurt this match's rating alot. Hardy wins when Kane was going to hit Matt with the steps but Matt hits the steps back into Kane's head with a chairshot and wins. I question this ending because Kane has had that done to him so many times it's not funny. Stone Cold, The Rock, Mick Foley, The Undertaker, and RVD has done it to him and he has kicked out when they have done it, but when Matt Hardy does it, he can't kick out. Give me a break. This match was a ***1/2 match, but the ending lowered it to about a ** match.

Intercontinental Championship:
Randy Orton (Champion) V. Edge
Awesome, Awesome match. There were a couple of "boring" chants in there but I don't see why. This is a easy Match Of The Year Candidate and I would say it's number two of three on the list behind the WrestleMania Triple Threat Match and The Guerrero/Angle Match at Wrestlemania and it may even be better than the Triple H /Michaels Hell In A Cell Match, but still a very awesome match with Edge winning his fifth Intercontinental Championship! ****3/4

#1 Contendership for thr Women's Championship:
Victoria V. Molly
Honestly, I didn't even see most of the match. I went to the bathroom and then went outside to have a smoke, plus I was still talking about the awesome Orton/Edge match that just happened. I saw the ending when Victoria nailed Molly with a sick superkick. So, I can't even give it a rating.

World Heavyweight Championship:
Chris Benoit (Champion) V. Triple H
Great match. Not as good as Edge/Orton, but still great with Eugene costing Triple H the World Heavyweight Championship! ***3/4

Overall, a awesome Pay-Per-View. I would say that last year's Vengeance was better, but only by a hair. This Pay-Per-View was awesome. The opener was hot, the World Tga Team Championship was entertaining and the Orton/Edge match, in my opinion, with stand the test of time. Plus, Benoit proves he's the best. The very stupid ending to the Hardy/Kane match and the useless women's match couldn't hurt the overall rating. A Easy ***** Pay-Per-View from the RAW Brand!

Summary: Randy Orton Final Loses!!
Review: 40-50 Horrible PPV
51-60 Decent PPV
61-70 Great PPV
71-80 Memorible PPV
81-up Classic PPV

Garrison Cade & Jonathan Coachman v. Rhyno & Tajiri
This match was absolutly horrible. Rhyno & Tajiri just smash Cade & Coach. 1/10

Chris Jericho v. Batista
This match made up for the Tag Match. Batista size helped himwin the match when he hide Jericho's leg which was on the ropes from the ref. 9/10

La Resistance v. Ric Flair & Eugene World Tag Titles
This was a good match I don't care if Eugene ruined it. Flair & Eugene were about to win then Eugene gets Evolution Disqualifided. 6/10

Kane v. Matt Hardy NO DQ
This was a bloody fight. Lita helps screw Kane once again. Matt wins when Lita distracted Kane. 9/10

Randy Orton v. Edge IC Title
Edge promised that Evolution would fall and the first one did at Vengeance. Edge regained the IC Title. 9/10

Chris Benoit v. Triple H World Title
This was a great match until Eugene messed it up. Benoit would have won quicker if Eugene didn't interfere but you had to have Eugene mess up HHH. 8/10

This PPV got a 62. This was a great PPV. Its not a must have but it would be nice to have.

Summary: Vengeance 2004
Review: I really don't think this ppv was that good. It seemed really dull and boring at times which makes it hard to watch. How ever there wewe 2 good matches, 3 average matches and 2 bad matches. Here is how I rate the matches

RATING SCALE
40- bad ppv
40-50 okay ppv
50-60 average ppv
60-70 good ppv
70-80 exellent ppv
80+ classic ppv

Rhyno/Tajiri def. Cade/Coach TIME-8 minutes 6.5/10
pretty decent opener at least better than I thought it would be. Coach can't wrestle but it was funny seeing him get his ass kicked by the man beast and the japanese buzzaw. There were noy many good spots in this match which is why I rated it so low. In the end Rhyno/Tajiri pick up the win after Rhyno gores Cade out of the ring and Tajiri hits coach with a devastating buzzaw kick.
WINNER-Rhyno/Tajiri

Batista def. Chris Jericho TIME-12 minutes 4/10
You have to be kidding me. Giving Batista a 10-15 minute match is chaos for WWE, most of this match was rest holds and power moves from Batista. Jericho was dominated which made it boring and their was not one near fall in this match before Batista hit the Batista bomb and got the three even though Jericho had his foot on the rope.
WINNER-Batista

World Tag Team Titles
La Resistance def. Eugene/Ric Flair TIME-10 minutes 7/10
Funny match with loads of good spots such as Eugene taunting Flair and other past WWE superstars. Ive sais it a hundred times but La Resistance don't have much offence. All they do is choke, stomp and punch and then tag the other in to do the same. Still a pretty good match up which ended with Eugene going crazy and getting disqualified.
WINNER-La Resistance

No Disqualifications match
Matt Hardy def. Kane TIME-9 minutes 7.5/10
Actually best match of the night up to this point. Not much hardcore action but still alot of bumps taken from both men. Matt Hardy won this match to my suprise by using the steel steps on Kane.
WINNER-Matt Hardy

Intercontinental Title
Randy Orton vs. Edge TIME-25 minutes 9/10
WHAT A WRESTLING MATCH. Best match of the night and a possible match of the year candidate. This was a long match up with loads of action and near falls. The start was slow but the ending was great with lots of near falls and finishers used. In the end Edge got whipped into the turnbuckle but exploded out hitting a massive spear on Orton for the win and we have a new champ.
WINNER-Edge(new Intercontinental Champion)

WHW Championship
Chris Benoit vs. Triple H TIME-29 minutes 8/10
I expected alot from this match but it did not deliver to full expectation. It was a long match but it didn,t get interesting until the end when Eugene interfered and cost Triple H the title by accidently hitting Triple H in the face with a steel chair allowing Benoit to roll him up for the win.
WINNER-Chris Benoit

Overall a pretty decent effort but got me wrestles at times. It scored a 42/70 which is a 60 on the rating scale.

Summary: Good show
Review: I was there tonight! Good PPV! Nothing is going to blow you out of your seat, but it's a really soild ppv. Not a bad match on the card...

World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Benoit v. Triple H **** 1/2- GREAT match.. The eugene suspence at the end is great...

Intercontinental Championship
Randy Orton v. Edge ***1/2- repeat of their match on RAW seven weeks prior just with an extra five minutes added. Good back and forth action.. doesn't really pick up until the last 10-15 minutes.. outstanding finish..

No DQ
Kane v. Matt Hardy ***- exciting match. THe only thing I found dissapointing was that they didn't use more weapons.. would've liked to have seen that... other then that though, there's some great spots in this match. Crowd was really into this one.

Tag Team Championship
La Resistance v. Eugene/Ric Flair ** 1/2- good match... HIGHLY entertaining. Eugene and Flair are hillarious. Las Resistance is hillarious reacting to them.. served it's purpose, but not much in the way of a GREAT match.

Batista v. Jericho ***- LOVED this match personally. BY FAR Batista's best showing to date and Jericho really didn't carry him too much. Batista's power is incredible and Jericho was his usual brilliant self. THe powerbomb in the end will blow you out of the water..

Victoria v. Molly *1/2- Typical women's match.. crowd was dead.. not nearly as good as their Wrestlemania encounter..

Rhyno/Tajiri v. Coach/ Cade **- Again, nothing eye popping, but a great opener. All four work the crowd well. Solid showing and soild opening match.

Haven't felt the long term effects of the event yet, but from just what I wathced live tonight, I'll give this a ***1/2 outta give or about a B.. nothing great, but not a bad match.. Triple H-Benoit was the match of the night.

Summary: Great title matches
Review: Rhyno & Tajiri vs. Jonathan Coachman & Garrison Cade
Just a squash match. Nothing that couldn't have been on Raw instead.

Chris Jericho vs. Batista
Second ppv in row where Jericho had to carry a big man. Surprisingly it's a bit boring. Nothing special. This match has been on Raw a lot.

World Tag Team Championship
La Resistance vs. Eugene & Ric Flair
Even without a feud this was a fun match to watch. Flair got to play face for a while and the crowd loved it! Eugene's antics are great. The match itself was really good. La Resistance does their part as usual. Great team.

No DQ
Matt Hardy vs. Kane
I was expecting a much longer and emotional match. It's good for not having any time to develop. Another problem is Kane can't sell the twist of fate to save his life.

Intercontinental Championship
Randy Orton vs. Edge
A classic! I was shocked the crowd chanted boring a few times. These two told a great story. This may be the best IC title match since the Rock/HHH ladder match.

#1 Contenders Match for the Women's Title
Victoria vs. Molly Holly
Eh, not total crapola but not that good either.

World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Benoit vs. Triple H
First one on one meeting between these two for the title. They met at Unforgiven 2000. Anyway, this is a good main event. Not the classic we were expecting but still a very good match.

Summary: Wrestling Is Real!
Review: The only thing I love more that wrestling is country music! This is a great video! I love to see my favorite WWE superstars wear tight little briefs, oil each other up, and then touch each other for 15 minutes! It is so great! My mom told me that I couldnt watch the part with girls, though. She said that girls will give me bad ideas. Good-Bye!

Summary: It is Decent!!
Review: This DVD is #15 out of 130 greatest WWE DVD's. This DVD is a great addition to your collection if you hate Evolution. Well Amazon you'll be selling a lot after that comment.

Randy Orton vs. Edge was a great match that's in the top ten matches of the year. Edge starts to kill Evolution off one-by-one and also taking the Intercontinental Championship.

Chris Benoit vs. Triple H was a bad match but it was fun with Eugene screwing over Triple H when he hit him with the chair and Benoit rolled him up to retain.

This DVD is great to see other matches that were very good that I didn't get into.
