Summary: Where the past blows away the future
Review: I had been waiting anxiously for the release of this book of one of my favorite painters. After looking through it last night, I can say it was worth the wait! Waterston's work is represented beautifully and the book's design pulls it all together quite well. St. Ann's Press and all involved did an excellent job.
The only wish I have is that Waterston's older work, pieces with his signature curtain-like paint smears and drips, would have had a bit more representation. But that's just me. I highly recommended adding this to your collection of art books, and I can't imagine that these first editions will be available for long.

Summary: Where the past blows away the future
Review: I had never heard of Waterston until I came across this book, and now he's hands-down one of my favorite artists. The details in this book really show off Waterston's unique Japanese-influenced thin paint technique. Warning--once you see this book you're gonna want to own everything Waterston has ever created...
