Summary: A Most Pleasurable Excursion
Review: Although this book is only 128 pages in length its artist representation is quite commanding. What is lacks in depth, it more than makes up for in character, as the photos displayed are mouth wateringly beautiful. Any human being will be immediately drawn to the powerful imagery contained in this volume as it focuses on the universally appealing rear-end of the species - specifically the female bottom. With photos from the likes of Günter Blum, Lucien Clergue, Thomas Karsten, Craig Morey, Ben Westwood, Gilles, Berquet, Steven Diet Goedde, and others, this book is assuredly a most reputable endeavor. Finally, to quote Thomas Karsten, "..a female's bottom is a source of great erotic attraction. There is something Godly about it that moves me deeply.".

Review: I found the pictures to be impressive but the quotes detract from the beauty on several occasions. I still enjoy browsing through it but I prefer others such as Female Form.

Review: I love women. I love butts. Behinds. Curves. Whatever you may desire to title it. This book is pretty decent, but there's a lot missing. There are no butts of African, Indian females. Also, only one photograph of an Asian female. Very few for some Hispanic women. In this book, there are mostly European females (which I have no problem with at all). Many of these photographs look as if they have been taken in a foreign country instead of the U.S. The photographs are more artistic than revealing of the gluteus (even though some women remain naked while some wear lingerie or skimpy BDSM outfits. Very few photographs look as if they were being taken for 'Sports Illustrated'.

Aside from photographs, there are quotes from songs by Queen & Spinal Tap. Also, there are some quotes from other artists, famous people and Nietzsche (all about the butt of a woman)!

While I admit that much of the photography (from different photographers) is stylish and eye-opening, I had expected much more out of this erotica art book. I have also seen better in 'Buttman' magazines and John 'Buttman' Stagliano X-rated movies. As hard as it is for me to write this because I love women, their bodies ...I had expected much more, meaning that I was slightly disappointed in this book. However, it's no longer made so it's worth a few looks.

Summary: Much To Be Desired
Review: I was disappointed with this selection. I thought the book would have been of the large format style but actually found it to be somewhat undersized. I also found many of the photos to be a underexposed. Doing a book profiling the rear assets of the female form one would expect accenting the various circular shapes and angles and the protruding qualities therein, which I found to be lacking in this book. Lastly, while I don't favor any one ethnic group over the other, I do find the book lacking in representation of various ethnic groups. I'm sure anyone would agree that African American women have more than ample proportions, and find it quite disturbing that a book with the title "DERRIERES" exclude such subjects that have been know for their rather bulbous bottoms. A book show casing such a glorious area of the female anatomy should have included a more diverse ethnic representation.

Review: This book was VERY disappointing. First of all the hard cover leads you to believe that the book is of a reasonable size. It's more like a Children book size. Many of the pictures are old and seemingly out of date. I was duped! I also bought his other book at the same time called Derriere and was equally disappointed. WATCH OUT and don't get duped like I did.

Review: This collection of photograghs is really quite nice with a great variety of talents featured. There are some brief quotes scattered thoughtout that are quite entertaining! Definately worthwhile!

Review: This is a fine collection of photographs concerning one of the most erotic curves of the human female body. It is presented in a respectful manner, without getting pornographic. However, I believe pornography is in the mind of the beholder, and if anyone thinks that looking at provocative pictures celebrating the enigmatic bottom is not normal, it is my belief that that person has some deeply rooted problems. We are all human, driven by our carnal desires, for without them we would not exist as the human race.
Ancient cultures believed that a bigger size derriere was much more desirable, as the bigger the posterior, the stronger the thrust, thus better sex. One need only observe baboons to prove this theory.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who appreciates a beautiful derriere.
