Review: For someone who loves to sew and is looking on how to bring their designs to the next level, then this is the book for you. It chocked full of great tidbits and even provides several portfolio options for the novice beginner. For great inspiration, it features sketches from up and coming designers and the established guard before they were on the map. Great reference book for hard core design fashionistas!!

Review: I am a 5year lead designer, and felt I was out of touch with the presentation of a portfolio when I went to interview. I purchased this book, and ever since have constantly refered to it for all presentation ideas. It is clear and direct while reviewing a broad range of fashion portfolios and what each and any portfolio should accomplish. I love this book!!!

Review: I don't think that I can say anymore than whats alreasy been said about how ABSOLUTELY GREAT this book is. It really is a great resource to own. It has everything from layout (which one is the best and which ones aren't), to resume, to interview information. It also encourages you to think out of the box a bit by showing you what everyone wlse os doing. Once agian excellent resource for up-an-coming fashion designers/students and even those who have left and are returning to the fashion industry.

Review: I purchased this book to help me with my portfolio layout for acceptance to the Fashion Institute of Technology. Although I needed to follow FITs guidelines, I feel that I gained a lot of great knowledge and excellent ideas and inspiration by referencing this book before submitting my portfolio to FIT. I am proud to say that I was accepted and will now be referencing the book to put together my portfolio for interviews in the industry.

Summary: A Must-Have for Fashion Students
Review: I'm an apparel design major at The University of Alabama. I bought this book based on the recommendation of the reader from Toronto. It is excellent! There is so much information that none of my college professors even touched on. It is truly chock-full of useful advice. Definitely worth the money!

Review: This book was recommended in design class. It provides good illustrations on how to set up your portfolio showing many examples of fashion students work. It instructs on how to do technical sketches which every student needs to know. It prepares you for interviewing by instructing on how to write cover letters, resumes, and how to handle interviews. There is a lot! of valuable info in this book. The more you read it the more you find.
