Painting the Impressionist Watercolor

Review: The book is well written and the illustrations are of good quality (important for an art instruction book).
However, as a person who has some experience in watercolor, this book is not for beginners. I would recommend that someone start with a beginners book, then progress to a book like this. Also, the book deals almost exclusively with still lifes. I would like to have seen some exercises with landscapes also.

Summary: A MUST HAVE FOR YOUR LIBRARY
Review: This is the finest book on impresssionist watercolor painting anywhere! The author takes a difficult subject and breaks it down into lessons that are a must read. He goes over his palette and the reasons for each color. There is a breakdown of impressionism painting for the beginner but also the most advance. He start with simple demonstrations and teachs you to SEE LIGHT! I have read hundreds of watercolor books and no one else has master the ability to teach impressionism in watercolor. If I only had one watercolor book in my library it would be Mr. Boynton's.
