Rating: Summary: Adults only Review: A risque, coffee-table book this one is not. The pictures have a heavy adult sex act themes. Unlike most of his art books, this one is mainly small sketch style drawings done in black and white. The cover is no indication of the contents.
Rating: Summary: Not at all what I expected Review: Although I am very much a fan of Royo's work, I was very dissapointed with this book. I guess it's my own fault for not reading enough about it before buying. I loved the cover illustration, but sadly, the contents were not as good. Most of the illustrations in this book are black and white, or nearly monochramatic, and small. The text I found had little to add to the illustrations. The pictures themselves start at tastefully erotic, but turn to very graphic sex acts by the end. Definitely not for kids, or the faint of heart. I found the most artfully rendered image to be the cover, and I didn't feel it was worth the money. If you're looking for a book of full color paintings of Royo's best erotic work, this is NOT the one to get.
Rating: Summary: Excellent art book for the seasoned Royo fan. Review: I gave this book 5 stars for many reasons. The main reason is that Royo does not bend his creative mind to sell books. He paints his passion regardless of what is currently "trendy" in the fantasy art realms. His style continues to season and I am always stunned to see the beauty that he captures in the sadness of his subjects. This book is not for everyone however. It contains strong sexual context that may not be suitable for all adults and certainly not to be left around for children to pick up. It IS a book that will be loved by fans of Royo, who have followed his work over the years and can appreciate the explicit nature of his artistic expression. If you are new to Royo, see some of his earlier work for less aggression, you won't be disappointed...then move back to Prohibited to see where this artist has traveled in his artistic minds eye. I have never been disappointed with a Royo release, and this is not an exception. Beautiful!

Rating: Summary: another erotic masterpiece Review: Luis did it again! He is hands-down the master in creating a fantasy realm in which the women are utterly flawless, yet not airbrushed centerfold types of the girl next door. There is a sort of luring eroticism in the darkness of his images, many of the women being pierced and tatooed, many whose eyes tell of a tormented past yet reveal inward strength and unparalled beauty. What is it about these women that lure cyborgs, monsters and demons to make love to them, and what is it about these creatures that the women can't resist? In a nutshell, Royo's worlds are an enticing escape from our reality--this latest work is no exception--you will in fact find it hard to escape his world and close the book once you have opened it.
Rating: Summary: A great work for Royo fans Review: This work is not quite the 5 star review I gave, but it is worth more than simply 4 stars. The reason is that this is Royo art as Royo fans would like. The women are stunning and the contrasts between the people and the backgrounds is staggering. Many times, it is like looking into a post appocolyptic issue of Playboy (or, in many cases Penthouse). What keeps this book from being five stars is simply the aforementioned sexuality. Many images are sexually explicit, and of those that are not, they are sexual enough that it would be advisable to keep this book away from impressionably minds. This means that, for most people, this book will be hidden from public view instead of resting on a coffee table with the rest of Royo's art collections.
