Rating: 5 stars
Summary: poignant & beautiful
Review: In the intro to The Other Side, Nan refers to the Oscar Wilde saying that "who are who you pretend to be." Through the photography of those closest to her, those excruiciatingly beautiful people whose gender just happens to be ambiguous, Nan shows how our pretending seeps into every corner of our personas. I love this book!!

Summary: Nan Goldin Takes over the World!
Review: This book spans many different images from Nan Goldin's career from transvestites to hookers, who are generally her friends. She captures very candidly, the very soul and essence of these "creatures" daily existences (which is probably be very different from your world). The colors and images are nothing short of amazing, but then again, this a book of Nan Goldin's photography. This book is worth every dollar - the only thing better would be to visit a gallery or have one of her photos in your home.
