Summary: A Visit with Amanda
Review: A chance meeting with the artist has given me a new sense of hope. I shall forever cherish my signed copy of "Guided by the Angels" My husband and I were so drawn in to her vision that we purchased one of her original paintings entitled, "Keeper of the Lights". This book is a great and inexpensive way to have a glimpse at creation as seen through the eyes of a true angel here on earth, Mandi keep doing God's work and his light shall forever shine through you!

Review: Amanda Dunbar has an extraordinary gift. To look at her paintings gives me a sense of inner peace and hope. I'm also amazed at the technique and vibrance of colour each one of her painting has. I would love to own at least one of her paintings. it would definitely be a valuable collectible and worthwhile investment. But for now the book is fantastic ! Keep up the good work Amanda!

Review: I simply cannot describe how this young girl's paintings make me feel. It is like looking into the face of God through an angel by the name of Amanda Dunbar. She is destined to attain greatness in her lifetime. Her angels speak so that we all can listen. It is time to heed the lessons by the child who is surely "Guided by Angels" Thank you Amanda for your precious, precious gift!

Review: Since being discovered in the fall of 1999, Amanda Dunbar has been causing a sensation in the American art world. A self-taught child prodigy of uncommon talent, she has been painting in three distinct styles--French Impressionism, American Expressionism, and Abstract--since the age of sixteen, just three years after she picked up her first paintbrush. Critics have compared this ability to a musical prodigy having mastered classical, jazz and contemporary at the same time. Perhaps the most amazing part of Amanda's story is the fact that she showed no special talent or inclination towards art until she happened upon an after-school art class when she was thirteen. Her first work was a masterpiece, evoking comparisons to Cassatt and Renoir, and soon Amanda was painting feverishly around the clock. "Painting is how I breathe," she often remarks. Amanda does not paint from slides or live models, yet her sense of proportion and composition are exquisite. So where does this astounding inspiration come from? According to Amanda, it comes from her angels, who guide her brushes and plant powerful ideas in her head. Her work is alternately romantic and haunting, peaceful and full of motion. Amanda has quickly become a pro in the public eye. In her short career, she has already appeared on such shows as Oprah and CBS's The Early Show, among many other appearances across the country and in her native Texas. Her paintings are currently being exhibited around the United States to great acclaim. Amanda Dunbar, "Mandi" to family and friends, was born on December 17, 1982, in Thunder Bay, Canada. In 1995, her family moved to a suburb of Dallas, Texas, where Amanda enrolled in her first-ever art class. Her instructor immediately recognized her extraordinary talent, and she has been painting ever since. She is currently finishing high school in Allen, Texas, where she resides with her parents, Ken and Judi, and her younger sister, Meaghan.
