Kippenberger: Multiples 1982-1997

Summary: as if without warning
Review: We're presented with Kippenberger's onslaught of objects and other things he "made" in editions. The depth and range of this super excellent artist is made apparent without a painting rearing it's ugly head. I mean, I like his paintings a lot but they distract from the eighty million OTHER things he's made that are of equal importance. This book is clean and obvious, with a boat load of color images to look at and only a few words between them. I also recommend the catalogue of his books that came out at some point during 2003 (and any other book covering his life and work, and they keep coming out with greater frequency).
