Rating: 2 stars
Summary: A disappointing and brief biography of Luigi Colani
Review: I had high expectations of the book, as not many books have been written about the inventor of "bio-design". But I was rather disappointed. The first section is a very brief review of Luigi Colani's life, and describes some of his designs. The second half of the book is cobbled together from three interviews done over a number of years. There are no real new insights into the man behind the all the bravado and rhetoric.
The translation into English from the original French was not very well done. There are numerous spelling mistakes and errors. There are black and white photographs in the main text, but many of these are poorly reproduced. The colour photographs at the rear of the book are small and few in number; this is a great pity as Colani is famous for his many flamboyant designs. There are better books about Luigi Colani and his designs than this one.
