Rating: Summary: Get the Brackzo book, not this one. Review: Gee, I wonder which camera manufacturer pays this spokesperson to give us his honest and unbiased "opinions"? And the public is supposed to pay for it? I like Nikon equipment but the author's reviews of much of the stuff is full of hyperbole and marketing bunk. Unless you are a collector get Nikon's free catalog for the information you need. In addition, if you own Nikon equipment read your owner's manual which contains much more information than this overpriced book.

Rating: Summary: Great for beginners who are purchasing used Nikon equipment! Review: I am just starting out in photography and have decided to purchase some used Nikon equipment. This book has really taught me a great deal and has given me the knowledge/confidence I needed to make sound decisions when purchasing used Nikon cameras, flashes and lenses. I was able to purchase a greater variety of quality used equipment and am therefore able to experiment with photography in a way that I would not have been able had I purchased only a couple of pieces of new equipment for the same amount of money. I couldn't have done it without this book!
Rating: Summary: Too many errors Review: I am not sure whether he has used those cameras or not, but too many mistakes, non-exist features, wrong descriptions ...
Rating: Summary: A great resource for a great system Review: I bought this book shortly after buying my first Nikon (I had used Canon for years but finally got smart!). The book is written in easy to understand, everyday language. I highly recommend this book to anyone who owns a Nikon. The lens section is especially comprehensive and helpful.

Rating: Summary: A great book for Nikon users Review: I don't have the newest edition of this book, but it does not matter if you only purchase vintage Nikon equipment. This book has indepth information on all the Nikon SLR equipment and accesories made in the last fourty years. I find this a true asset when you are a collecter of Nikon equipment. Unfortantly, not all the reviews on items are detailed enough to inform, also because new equipment is introduced yearly it is never up to date. But, still the book is worth getting if you don't have an older edition. Not to bad.
Rating: Summary: Very detailled insight of Nikon world. Review: I have found in this book very important informations not available anywhere else, specially in the speedlight section. Thanks a lot, Moose.
Rating: Summary: The Most Complete book on the Nikon 35mm System Review: I wrote the Nikon System Handbook from personal experience using all this gear solving the problems I come across photographing wildlife. The 5th edition has an extensive F5 section which I wrote as well as an update on lenses and flash.
Rating: Summary: all you need to know about nikon-at least most of it Review: I've been thru many of the Nikon books - none of them has that much information, with a great index for quick reference. Some stuff is missing, who's to blame with all the yearly updates. The only solution is: keep on going Moose!
