Review: Hooray, Howard is back with a luscious, gorgeous, magnificent book of nudes that is both dynamic and sensual. This large format book is the ideal size to aptly display the sumptuous geometry of the human form. For those familiar with Schatz other books this is reminiscent of "Passion and Line" with overtones of "Water Dance"; the former being my personal all time favorite book of photography. "Nude Body Nude", while filled with astute studies of the human form, does have its lighter side too--a few quirky images designed to throw the viewer off guard. I panned his last book but I love this one. Don't buy it as a gift, buy it for yourself.

Review: I have searched a long time for a book which presented quality nude photography that did not resort to erotica. I was looking for a book which would give me amazing muscle and curve quality so that I could use the pictures as models for carving and sculpture. This book has been exactly that. I have used it on three different pieces and can't be more happy. Everytime I look through the book I am struck with an amazing sense of beauty. A must have for one who appreciates the beauty of the human body. (note: this book does focus more on the female body, but I feel it to be so much more complex and amazing that this seems logical)

Review: I have to agree with the reviewer who gave this volume 1 star - there's not much in this book to compare with the quality of Passion and Line, Waterdance and Pool Light. This is a ragbag of styles, some reminiscent of other well-known photographers. I too have tired of oily high-contrast muscle, male or female. But the fact that Schatz can seemingly pull out any style at will means that the book lacks focus and identity. There's too little here that is memorable, despite the splendid production. A pity.

Review: If you are familiar with Schatz's previous work, get this book now. There are alot of photographers out there producing figurative work, but few produce like Schatz. The turn of each page produces a new delight. Can this guy get stale? Not here. This book is my favoite of all he has done so far. Buy it now because this book will sell fast and soon be unavailable.
