Review: John expresses himself quite well in his paintings. I have always been a big fan of his music and his paintings just complement his music and allows me to understand a little bit more about John Mellencamp, the person.

Review: John Mellencamp, the singer/songwriter has come out with an art book "Paintings and Reflections". In my opinion, Mellencamp is a true artist. By far alot better than other so-called artists. It is amazing at the talents this man has. He sings, paints, and takes care of his family. He isn't one of Rock's cranks anymore. He has matured throughout the years and I believe he is truly one of God's gifts. He's lived and learned, and has turned out to be an amazing human being. I suggest everyone goes out and picks up a copy or two of this book - even give it away as an Xmas present. If you know someone who enjoys art - they will love this book for years to come. I give this book 5 excellent stars.

Review: The book is a must for anyone who enjoys John Mellencamp. All the proceeds are given to elementary school children for music. I think this is a great way for John to give back to his fans and to the world in general. Go get yours now!

Summary: Strong, bold paintings, polychromatic, very classic style
Review: This artist proves he has talents in more than one arena. Not only can he write and perform music, but he can also paint. These paintings have very strong bold lines, mostly polychromatic and very similar to the paintings of the realist of the late 19th and early 20th century. There is even some of the psychological effect found in the masters. A very interesting and intriquing book.
