Summary: Great Comprehensive Kippenberger Book
Review: This is the best out of what is currently available about the Kippenberger ouevre and life that is neither outrageously expensive nor in German. There are excellent reproductions and the texts are varied and fresh. An easy read, it is a great introduction to Kippenberger, dealing with his work and life in chronological order. I would say it is a bit better than the other "Kippenberger" from Phaidon, as it sees his work from the perspective of influence, or life "after Kippenberger". A wonderful artist, a life-changing thing to come to know his work and learn about this man who made funny, great and awful work by not trying to be a "serious" uptight artist. Not trying hard.
