Review: "Old Brooklyn in Early Photographs, 1865-1929" is simply a first-rate collection of selected photographs of my home town from just after The Civil War to the Depression. The text surrounding the photos are just enough to be informative without bogging down the pleasure of turning the pages. And like the other Dover compilation, "New York in the Ninenteenth Century", the quality of the printing and the strength of the spine are top-notch. A truly great book.
