Review: Fineberg's book is an exhaustive study that makes some obvious connections between children's art, and some not so obvious ones. Either way, the result is a compelling compendium of fascinating information. Not for the casual reader of art history specific topics. However, if you're into 20th century art history/theory, this book is required reading.
