Rating: Summary: Just another book trying to produce revenue... Review: First of...commenting on the above written review. Amy Francheschini has done nothing for the Web, but introduce the unoriginal "Hello Kitty" look. Other than that, there is nothing of value that would validate her as a great contributor to the already muddled motley crew of "Web Designers." The word designer used loosely. The book itself is just another one of those coffee table books, that offer nothing more than a vista of admittedly good work, yet is more of a self promo, fueling what is already a group of ego heavy designers, rather than providing some useful inspiration. If you already have a big collection and just want to expand your library, get the book. If you are a design student who does not come by funding easily, save your money.
Rating: Summary: She's one of best artists on the web Review: This book doesn't do justice to what Amy Francheschini has done on the Web. A couple of years ago when I started my web career as a designer I happen to come across her name in a book. After checking out atlasmagazine.com and futurefarmers.com I was hooked. The whimsy with which she designs is refreshing in a pool of macho edicts and declarations. She has unapologetically managed to reintroduce beauty to the web and we're are better for it.
