With 420 pages filled with palaces, villas and castles makes it amongst the biggest as well as the best of coffee table editions. The illustrious owners of these estates vied to commission the most gifted artists and artisans to create residences of unsurpassed beauty. Monumental sculpture and reliefs, opulent furniture, allegories and historical events immortalized in magnificent and paintings. Fittingly, heaven comes to life as the crowning glory of so many ceilings filled with multitudes of celestial beings frolicking amongst clouds and rays of sunshine.
