Review: Buy this book! This (except a new, inferior Dover book) is the only way to find actual plans and elevations of perhaps the greatest architectural firm in American history. Yes, there are two coffee table books on White's work, but pretty pictures do not convey the majesty of the working drawings: if you have ever considered that "mere" orthographic projection is somehow less than an art in its own right, these drawings, even in reproduction, will disabuse you. Yes, CAD is now an indispensible part of architectural practice, but what a virtue White made out of the necessity of hand drafting!
