Summary: A major disappointment...
Review: I work in the Chicago office of SOM, and I gotta say that this book is a major disappointment. Key projects (past and present) have been left out, there are virtually no interiors projects shown (a nearly criminal act; since SOM defined the practice of interior architecture), and the photos are positively horrible.Grainy, out of focus, and poorly framed - the photos are the worst part about the book. You won't believe just how bad they are until you see them. I would strongly recommend the new book "Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP - Architecture and Urbanism 1995-2000" published by Images Publishing. I have every single book every published on SOM's work, and this is the most stunning. It's brand new though, and might not yet be widely available.

Summary: Do Not Waste Your Time or Money
Review: This book is very poorly produced. It looks like it was all run off a copy machine. The reproductions of the photographs are very poor and difficult to make out. Not clear at all. This is just a poorly constructed book from a quality stand-point all around. Not what I expected.
