Review: This book was published to accompany an exhibition of Belgian Symbolist art in Salzburg, Austria in 1999. It is a gem of a book consisting of full-colour reproductions of rare pictures by Jean Delville (his 'Regeneration' will give you nightmares if you are of a weak disposition! ), William Degouve de Nuncques, Fernand Khnopff, Leon Frederic, Emile Fabry and several other artists. It also includes a biographical section on each artist. The Symbolist art movement is due more recognition and books such as this one fill a gap in this area of art history.
