Summary: Beautifully educational
Review: At first the title seems odd; what do the french have to do with the Greek Revolution? It turns out, as you will read, Europe, being predominately Christian, was very concerned with the Turks blood-lust for Christian anihilation. The Ottoman empire found that their inhumane acts of barbary against the Greeks incited much support in Europe to erradicate them from Greece. After 400 years of brutality and slavery, the Turks were finally gone.

This book tells that story, along with French paintings, all along the way: from the murder of St. Francis to the major maritime defeat of Turks by the Great Three (France, England, Russia) in Navarilo.

A great book to learn something new about a subject long forgotten.
