Review: An excellent, detailed overview of Redon's career and artistic output, this book tells you everything you ever wanted to know about the artist's life and times. The only disappointment I felt was the lack of real insight into his work. Fabulous reproductions of the artist's incredible works tantalize as you search for interpretation in the text. Historical fact is all you get however. Somehow this seemed ironic in a book about a "Prince of Dreams". An absolute must have for any lover of Redon's art - the most complete published source - and the reproductions are truly phenomenal!
