Summary: A small taste of Heimann's All-American Ads volumes
Review: I, being a huge fan of Taschen publications, was not in the least bit reluctant to pluck this one off the shelves. In some respects I wish I had saved my cash. This little book contains 192 pages of photos and vintage graphics, most of which can be found scattered throughout the pages of Taschen's All-American Ads series (which, mind you, I already own). Of course, the quality is fantastic -- smooth flexi-cover, durable binding, etc -- but I should have been more aware that this title is part of the Icons series, which offers buyers a nice sample of what can be found between the pages of the All-American Ads books.

This is a great pint-sized coffee-table book for any casual fan of mid 20th century pop culture, but not a necessity for those who've already shelled out the money for the extensive Ads series.
