Summary: wow!
Review: I really enjoyed seeing - and reading about - all those gorgeous green eyes and the interesting, racially diverse faces behind them. As someone with brown eyes - whose (almost entirely) extended family has the same - it is so refreshing to see all that color! Definitely buy this book for someone with green eyes - or for someone who wish he/she had them! They won't be disappointed!

Summary: These Hazel Eyes Are Jealous
Review: I was amazed with the ethnic diversity of the people captured. This is a book of few words though it speaks volumns by reading different wonderful faces and looking their amazing Green Eyes...

Summary: Pretty Green Eyes
Review: I've always been fascinated by green eyes. They are so unique and pretty. A.K. Crump does a beautiful job of capturing these mesmerizing green eyes from every ethnic background. I don't know if there's any other book that captures green eyes, but this is a must-have if you have any interest in how captivating eyes can be.

Summary: A Facinating Book
Review: My husband has always said he fell in love at first sight with me while looking into my green eyes, so this lovely book made one of his all time favorite wedding anniversary gifts.
As my eyes are completely green, one thing we both found intriguing were many of those photographed have eyes with several colors combining to produced an over all effect of green.
Several of the people were represented by more than one photo leading me to believe the author 'fell in love' with several sets of green eyes himself. I must confess I didn't see what he did except for a stunning baby with 'coffee with cream' skin and gorgeous soft green eyes.
I saw my eye doctor recently; he said only about five percent of people have eyes with no other color present. I thought the author stayed true to his mission; what got people into the book was not just beauty, it was their eyes.
As I'm half Ukrainian, we very much enjoyed reading the index
telling each person's name, what part of the world the author encountered them in and what their ethnicity is.

Summary: Green with envy
Review: My mother has green eyes and I have always been attracted to woman with green eyes and I believe the photographer has captured the allure of green eyes in his book. I enjoyed the quotes, poems and narration that are interspersed throughout the book. I also enjoyed the models that he used. One of the great things about this book is that instead of glamorous models, the photographer used everyday people allowing you to see the beauty of their green eyes which is what he book is all about. It is also refreshing to see the diversity of the subjects where you can truly see how green eyes can be seen in all ethnicities.

I have been giving this book as birthday presents to my friends with green eyes and they always say this is the best present. If you have green eyes or love someone with green eyes or are just a fan of green eyes, this is the book for you.

Summary: Yawn
Review: Sorry, but the pictures do not tell the story.

What's with the repeated photos of the glassy-eyed full-lipped dark-haired guy? Ick, he's in love with either himself or the photographer, and it's not reflected as art. And the poor fella with the weepy, weepy eyes? Huh?

I hate to think this was a work of research and art. I can find more green-eyed people in my building at work with only 1000 employees than this photographer found.

We green-eyed ones are diverse and the lore/history in the text was nice, but it's also found on the author's web-site. If you want depth, art, and green-eyes, a mirror will provide better results (if you are a green-eyed one...)

Summary: I love this book!
Review: The author obviously is both a researcher and an artist. I had no idea green eyes were so rare - I learned a great deal. I enjoyed the index which underscored the diversity of those with the gene. It shows how much alike we are no matter our ethnicity. The pictures were beautiful and interesting. I found myself staring at the subjects' eyes and feeling some connection with them as people. The poems were lovely and well-chosen, they added a great deal to the "experience" of the book. I highly recommend it!

Summary: It's Aww-ite!
Review: The photography is captivating in this book. I was fairly pleased with it, except for it's main downfall: the pictures were the same people over and over, as if the author couldn't find enough folks with green eyes! I thought his whole purpose for this book was to show us the diversity and appeal of many pairs of green eyes! Crump also included photos of several individuals whose eyes looked to be blue, not green. If he ran out of people to pose, I would have been happy to offer my green-eyed fiance (for whom I bought this book), as a model. Other than those setbacks, the book delivered it's thesis.

Summary: what Can I Say ?
Review: this book has beautiful pictures of very interesting people. they were diverse, from different walks of life. their wonderful green eyes were evident in all of the pictures. "Rick", in four of the pictures, plus the back cover, is surely a model or star....
