Rating: Summary: inspiring Review: I agree with the earlier reviewer; the photos are magical re-takes on the banality of LA. They are worth the price of the book on their own. However, the essay also merits careful reading. Corboz takes traditional complaints about American cities to task. His views are neither conservative nor radical, they are merely thought-provoking, which is afterall the aim of a well-done essay.
Rating: Summary: inspiring Review: Keeley takes the beautiful, real images of a true voyuer of the city and makes them very accessable to all of us. As an L.A. native, I saw new views of my city as never before. The essay didn't hold my interest as much, overshadowed by the great hpotography.
