Review: I learned to appreciate Sergio Larrain State of the Art photography, by the hand of other great Chilean Photographer or Light Painter, Luis Poirot. Review: Sergio Larrain is a great photographer, something you can discover on the pages of this book. He is not only someone who takes shots. He is a person who can capture the spirit of the place, the mood of the people, the unseen of what people see without seeing everyday.

London 58-59 is a beautiful small book, a gift for the people who are searching for his masterworks. A real pity that one of the best latinamerican photographers has not published because his desitions of keeping away of the exit, in spite of being part of the MAGNUM group. I recomend to get his works of the city of Valparaiso (chile) and buy any single book where you can find one of his pictures, a rare and exquisite object to keep as a treasure.

Vale la pena Larraín en todo sentido. Por su capacidad de observación, por su estética, por descubrir momentos mágicos en la simpleza de las cosas. Larraín es un maestro de la fotografía, pero un desconocido en la realidad, porque se sabe de él, y mucho, pero no se conoce lo suficiente de su obra. Es el mejor fotografo chileno, a pesar de su intento por pasar desapercibido en su propia tierra. Notable su trabaje sobre la ciudad de Valparaiso (Chile), hay que perseguir su obra donde sea, porque no es facil de encontrar a pesar de sus exhibiciones en Valencia y Paris. Recomendación: tener a Larraín como un tesoro, y recurrir a sus páginas cada cierto tiempo para poder develar el zen en su trabajo.
