Rating: Summary: Accurate and sensual review of Indian Islamic Architecture Review: Moving from the Mamluk period through to the nineteenth century this accurate and beautifully illustrated book leads one through the complex history of Islamic architecture in India. I am envious of Frederico Borromeo's camera work for the sites have a freshness about them which is very difficult to capture on film. A little more on the influences of Central Asia and Iran would have been liked in the introduction but this is minor compared to the detail found in the remainder of the book. Some sites are not marked on the map and so more detailed maps would help in a second edition. Well done!
