Summary: major book about the counter-culture
Review: A major book about the counter-culture from W. Blake to nowadays. Beautiful analysis, perfectly framed by precise political thinking, it's a fascinating travel through the artistic forms of resistance against the ideology.

Summary: stay away from this book!
Review: I simply found this book unreadable. It was extremely poorly written. Good luck on your attempt.

Summary: Fabulous Book!
Review: This is one of the best pieces of cultural criticism I've read in years. It is very readable and extremely intelligent. Makes good use of Frankfurt School and others to understand dimension of class in rock and roll and art, primarily of 60's on. Highlights are terrific analysis of use of rock and roll in film, and an excellent analysis of Warhol. Highly recommended for those seriously interested in good pop culture criticism.
