Rating: Summary: Definitive Wedding Photography Book Review: This book includes all the major topics, and does it well. The book addresses how to set up a business, how to get clients, how to work with them, how to choose gear and how to take the pictures. And, it has some very nice photography. The author writes well, and the book is well illustrated. He describes how to do some different shots, each time presenting in about two pages a diagram of how the lighting was arranged, the resulting photograph and a well-written description of how to do the shot. The book is well printed. The author describes the gear choices available in a clear, yet open-minded way. He provides a valuable summary gear checklist, consistent with his well-organized, list-based approach. The author shows how the work is done, keeping the context of the social event and the relationships depicted in mind. This book is an outstanding achievement that I would advise anyone who is in the field or has an interest to read. Peter
Rating: Summary: Really dated Review: While this isn't a *bad* book, it's getting really dated. All of the pictures and examples are from the early '80s, and look like they're set in the late '70s. Quite a few of the effects given went out of style years ago.
